Anyone can give me an advice on what battery to choose? If I have a 144 Watt panel what capacity battery should I choose? Let's say that I want to store all day's energy. What if I wanted to store energy from two days? I don't know much about batteries, and how to understand those units (amps, or amp hours), can someone explain the math to me. Help would be greatly appreciated.
I am going to be building a solar system sometime next year and will be buying a similar Charge controller that can handle up to 30 amps. Now my question to you is, can I connect a 6000 watts inverter to the last 2 connectors on the charger controller. Or will the inverter has to be connected to the battery banks? If you are not sure what I am asking please feel free to ask me? In addition I am just starting out on this business so forgive me if the question sounds stupid to u?
Hey, you would connect the solar panels to the charge controller. The charge controller to the batteries. And then the batteries to the inverter. Then you can hook up which ever appliance you choose to the inverter (as long as you have the juice for it).
If you don't, then your 110/240v side of this set-up will not have an earth connection.
The inverter takes + and - from your battery bank, but should also be earthed to ground from a pin/grommet on the inverter...else a point on it''s casing.
