  • Masterpiece!

  • when did jennifer lawrence say this?

  • Joseph Gordon-Levitt,Leonardo DiCaprio,KStew and Jennifer Lawrence :D

  • @capati1992 Kirsten Dunst is the latest celeb to cite this as one of her favorite films/performances. So, you can add her to the list.

  • INTENSE.

  • Taking on the role of Mabel epitomized the term "Actor", in every sense of the word. How many "actors" would dare take on a role like this and pull it off as well as Ms. Rowlands? I dare say a scant few, unfortunately.

  • Peter Falk from Ossining NY, my hometown whoot whoot!! anyway, AMAZING movie!! THIS is raw craziness, how did angelica Jolie win an Oscar for her mediocre-in-comparison portrayal of a crazy person and Gena Rowlands did not win one for this?? ridiculus

  • YEP who else was sent here by a certain actress called K - STEW? :)

  • KStew brought me here ....her W mag interview :)

  • @LyricallyFree21 me too!!!

  • @LyricallyFree21

For me is was K-Stew, Jennifer Lawrence and Rooney Mara

  • @bluedress Tchaikovsky is used in the scene where the children are dancing in the garden when the stiff dad turns up. Swan Lake if I remember right.

  • gosh im a lot like this woman hahahaah

  • sexy and Asian women Meet lushfmlk.info

  • can anybody identify the classical music in this film??

  • @bluedress The opera bit is called "addio dolce svegliare alla mattina!" from La Boheme.

  • An intense, complex, energetic, enthusiastic, artistic character who is very intelligent. She is not "crazy" or psychotic. She is responding to not fully understanding her strengths and for being misunderstood; and judged and treated harshly because of the ignornance of others, who are understandably overwhelmed by her intensity. Online check out Dabrowski's Theory of Positive Disintergration and Overexcitablities; and Gifted Adults and the book "Living with Intensity"

  • Who would like this movie?

...people who like darkness, people who like watching Mad Men for the nostalgia of "how we used to think/smoke/drink," people who liked to go to college lit. and discuss what they read, feminists, people who liked The Yellow Wallpaper

  • VBRAVOOOOO

  • i love peter falk.

  • chris this is me and you

  • what is the second old piano song under this fantastic film, trailer????please tell me! i am under the influence.

  • John Cassavetes' true masterpiece. Gena Rowlands (his wife) and Peter Falk gave out some knock-out performances as Rowalnds was nomiated for Best Actress at the Oscars as well Cassavetes was nomiated for Best Director. Very heart-warming and enjoyable for a Cassavetes fan. :) His best since SHADOWS.

  • Hello, I'm french and I love this movie,. Could someone tell me what Gena Rowlands says at 1:30.

  • @jjsljsuc she says 'I'm not one of those stiffs that you like with their noses up in the air'

  • @Aidooosh thank you for answering but I would like to know what whe says after...

  • Hello, I'm french, I love this movie but I don(t understand what she says at 1:30, could someone tell me? Thank you.

  • Grand film. Grand réalisateur

  • 1:33 lol

  • Is there anybody know that the music playing in the beginnig?

  • great movie...lots of improvisations which it makes it more beautiful to watch.

  • Even though non of it is improvised :\

If you are talking improvisation for the delivery, you'd be right.

  • I was 19 years old, sitting sleeping in the sofa when Cassavetes films where sent in TV. I kind of woke up. And

saw all of them. It´s lovely! It´s almost 20 years ago. I became a filmmaker. Yes. Thankyou for uploading

  • @boelina wow thats great, i saw this movie just recently and im 15, its the greatest role for a women in all movie history even to this day! my biggest dream is to be a script supervisor, congrats on making it to the bussines!

  • @boelina you're a filmmaker?who r u?

  • The music in the movie is incredibly underrated.

  • hey! what's the song that plays during the trailer on the minute 1,17?

  • Probably the best film ever made, starring the best actress who ever lived, directed by the most visionary director ever. Thank you for uploading!

  • Love this film. One of my favorites right up there with Monster Squad and American Movie. Not sure I agree with Cassavettes being the most visionary directer ever, though.

  • Well, one of them, at least - I perfer his unconventional style. ;)

  • Me, too.

    =)
