  • I love using M42 lenses with my Sony bodies, lately I've been using them on the A65 for video. Takumar lenses look worth investing in! Let's hope I can find some.

  • great video , thanks !

  • great video and great taste in cars! 8-)

  • I need some help. When I stop down nothing happens unless I press the pin on the back of the lens in. Obviously I can't do this while it's mounted on my 60D so I'm stuck always wide open. does this happen with all M42 mount lenses? how can I stop down? please help.

  • i'm planning on buying a takumar 50mm f1.4 from ebay, it says screw so i'm guessing that means it's a screw mount. What adaptor would i need for my 60D?

    please help.

  • From what I understand, Canon bodies put the sensor much closer to the mount, allowing proper use of an M42 lens. Nikon bodies need the optical element to correct the longer sensor to mount length.

  • Superb video as usual. I'm looking for a Super Taku 50mm f/1.4 at the moment and found this video very helpful. Thanks very much!

  • @Meatmiester

    Thank you!

Just looked at your site... Obviously you are very talented!

I lived in the UK for almost 5 years working at the American Embassy there...

I have a few peices of 'British Sculpture'... A 100 point imaculate 1974 chrome bumper MGB and just sold an 1969 XKE roadster...

Keep an eye on the Russian optics as well! Esp[ecially the Jupiter-9, Helos 44

    and others!

  • @fotolinq Thanks a lot, thats much appreciated! The Jupiter 9 gets a superb rating from many a flickr user!

  • I'm not a very big photographer, but if I was I would find this video very informative and professional. Keep up the good work.
