So life existed as a one single celled organisim, for billions of years, they not effected by the environment but in turn life shaped environment itself, throught its interactions with it, and those single cell, created our rich Oxegen Atmosphere that made it possible for other life forms to dwell on land, as the first creatures walked Earth in the Siluran period some 440 million years ago.
