I lost some relatives and a lot of very close friends that I was working with after they had served in Iraq.
One of my best friend's funerals is in this video. I still mourn for him and all the others I knew who never came back home. I mourn for all those I didn't know too.
I don't feel I desecrated anyone. How? Many of the ones I knew came home and comitted suicide. This is to wake up the American's.
It's gotten so bad I can't watch news anymore. Every time one of the networks lists the newest casualties I'm in tears. Age, rank, serial number...that's all they're reduced too for the media. What about the people left behind and the ones who manage to come back from the fighting? This country isn't taking proper care of the soldiers who fought and sacrificed. In the past or present. It makes me ashamed.

I have been to a Military Funeral and know how important that tri-folded flag is to that family, who has suffered and sacraficed so much. When I was in the service, I swore to defend the country against all enemies foriegn and domestic. I understood it was to the death if need be. Anything less and I would not deserve to live here.

This video is sick. It focuses on the pain of the families and ignores the good the fallen Soldier/Marine/Airman/Sailor has done with his/her life. --Probably more in 18-35 years than most 90 year olds can say they've done.

Not one enlisted to trade their life for a "flag". 99% of them are better than their counterpart on the civilian street because they care about something bigger than themselves, they are willing to risk their own lives, wellbeing, and the security of their families to do so for people like you who either don't get it or don't care (but still reap the benefits of their sacrifices).

I was the one who made the video, and I am not preying on anyones pain or sacrifice.
I lost some relatives and a lot of very close friends that I was working with after they had served in Iraq.
One of my best friend's funerals is in this video. I still mourn for him and all the others I knew who never came back home. I mourn for all those I didn't know too.
I don't feel I desecrated anyone. How? Many of the ones I knew came home and comitted suicide. This is to wake up the American's.

It's gotten so bad I can't watch news anymore. Every time one of the networks lists the newest casualties I'm in tears. Age, rank, serial number...that's all they're reduced too for the media. What about the people left behind and the ones who manage to come back from the fighting? This country isn't taking proper care of the soldiers who fought and sacrificed. In the past or present. It makes me ashamed.

I have been to a Military Funeral and know how important that tri-folded flag is to that family, who has suffered and sacraficed so much. When I was in the service, I swore to defend the country against all enemies foriegn and domestic. I understood it was to the death if need be. Anything less and I would not deserve to live here.

Furthermore, I recognize the unimaginable sacrifice they all made. Never say that someone has died for nothing. They died knowing the dangers and the consquences of what they were doing, but they accepted that and gave it all in hopes of making a better difference and a positive impact on people's lives. Only when every last person forsakes the courage of these men and women, then and only then, will they ever have truly died for nothing.

I Wish this had not happen, it makes me feel very sad about all the lives that are being Taken from their families,even though I feel much pain that effects me as a human being, and war first off to me is the worst thing that could happen between people, especially for those in the Army who had no say in this war or are so tramatized that a normal day is hard to get by w/o all of those memories, and for those who never returned.

War is something that will never cease to exist. I know ppl from the military and even veterans who tell me that war will always be inevitable. It's part of life that revolves around were our men and women fight for our freedp,. At least their lives are always honored no matter how the term "Peace" is in our country or other parts of the world. Thats why our soldiers fight not for something else but for our freedom and achieve peace even though its only temporary.

My friend who just came back from Iraq told me that the reason he fights is in truth freedom and their instinct to fight throughout life. on the outside its only for oil and other stuff but on the inside its for freedom.

Bill00011 I have served with/known/deployed with more than 1000 soldiers. Not one enlisted to trade their life for a "flag". 99% of them are better than their counterpart on the civilian street because they care about something bigger than themselves, they are willing to risk their own lives, wellbeing, and the security of their families to do so for people like you who either don't get it or don't care (but still reap the benefits of their sacrifices).
