I LOVED all of these raids at level 60. Shame it would be too easy taking level 60's now with all the extra spells etc. But every level 60 raid was hard! They were just awesome, never will be the same. Well, maybe Blizzard might rethink expansions onwards, but these were new.. You'll never get the same feeling. :L

this was a very long, mana intensive, and fun fight...one of my favorite fights of all of classic WoW. because my guild didnt schedule aq20 runs after a time as we turned our focus to bwl, i would lead pugs on my server to continue my grind to exalted with the Cenarion Circle. they were generally really successful and it was nice to help some folks get over the hump of this fight with my warrior tanking.

my first raid was with my 63 Tauren Hunter/Survival at Zul'Gurub and it was sick! sad part was when Hakkar was at 2% of health he did this killer AoE attack and wiped us out. bummer :( but still fun!

So you get what normal groups went through when they did ZG...I am going to guess everybody in your raid was over level 60...if they were 60 then i guess that explains it...these raids were not easy.

paladins can now solo this boss but his knockback does imba dmg i did it on my pala and when he enraged i needed to heal myself every punch, at the end Manslayer of the qiray dropped and i gave it to my Dk by using my bros acc etc

Ive made a Pre TBC raid guild with all level 60's, gona attempt this raid very soon. Probably gona wipe a damn lot lol, gona be worth it though :)

AQ was designed for level 60 characters. If you are doing this with people as high as level 80, it should be pretty easy.

Well, it's a 20-man raid and so the bosses drop epic items.

However, this is a pre-Burning Crusade, level 60 dungeon. As such, the items are quite outdated and aren't worth hunting for.

On the other hand, some of them look COOL -- so if you're into that sort of thing, go for it!

firstly you don't kill the sub-bosses first, you kill them last as when they die, it auto starts the next wave = you wipe.

eh sorry to inform you, but it is correct, when you kill the sub-boss on each wave the next wave begins to move in, that is why you do not kill the sub-boss til last, tank up against the wall and spank the trash.

Having done this fight several times, I am certain that the next wave does not come until all mobs are dead. Hell, even WowWiki mentions the viability of killing the mini-boss first.

Both AQ20 and AQ40 work the same as ZG. You get gear AND quest items from bosses.
