im a drawer lol! went and picked myself up 3 canvas's and some acrylic :D
kinda getting bored of the colors in drawing :( i thought to myself painting looks so relaxing
the colors are way better,you can blend much better shade etc!!!
i think there is more emotion in paintings! lol dnt call me crazy :P
videos are helping heaps! even though i havnt unpacked anything yet,let alone know what i am going to paint! im usually drawing abstracts etc and psychedelic art
This landscape is super easy to follow and you can download the image from my website if your looking for something to get started with, you could always use this as a starting point and go abstract from there.
landscapes are actually more difficult for me but I am sticking with it I want to be able to combine the two styles soon as a get a decent painting ( landscape) I will let you know. but I am certainly enjoying the journey
Will I absolutely love your videos I have been painting for about 2 years now Mostly figurative abstract type of painting but I am looking to expand into landscapes your courses are perfect for me Thank you
do you store in jars your premixed paint? it takes a lot of time to premix. can you pleaaase do a tutorial on storing premixed paints and what are your most used premixed colors?
I do store premixed paints in small screw top plastic jars, if I'm doing a large scale painting. For a small scale painting like the one in the video you can premix the paint then store it on a stay wet palette.
This will last for a good 2 to 3 days before the moisture from the palette makes the paint too liquid.
Generally the premixed colours I use are more tonal, e.g a muted grey, muted brown, muted yellow.

Do you use water when adding the paint to make it last longer?
Pedrofreestyle97 2 months ago
@Pedrofreestyle97
Hi Pete,
Do you mean to keep the paint wetter for longer?
Or to make the paint go further?
Will
willkempartschool 2 months ago
@willkempartschool No to make the paint go further and make it easier to spread on the canvas?
Pedrofreestyle97 2 months ago
@Pedrofreestyle97
Gottcha, Yes I usually always dilute the paint with water for the first layer, this makes it go further and goes on the canvas easier.
Then I can add progressively thicker paint on top, when I'm more confident the tones are right.
