I don't know whether to "like" this video for it's quality and beautiful scenery and the fact that you seem to agree it's not the most intelligent thing to be doing... Or vote "dislike" because not only is it highly risky/unsafe and therefore unintelligent, but it also risks highly negative attention toward all of us who ride responsibly on public roads...

I am pretty open minded when it comes to stunting, after all it is usually (not all the time) just you that are going to pay for your own mistakes, but DON"T do it with a passenger, that is reckless and irresponsible. I ride a lot more aggressively by myself, but with a passenger, well most of them get bored...lol. Sorry.

First off I'm against stunting on public streets and in traffic. If you want to do it in a parking lot or something fine, that way if you go down its you and your equipment that's introuble. But on the highway you go down and it's a pile up with cagers. And I can't believe the one guy would foot drag with a girl on the back! NOT COOL!!! Really these are the kind of people that make it hard for the rest of us. They increase the cost of insurance for the rest of us, and give us all a bad rap.
Respectfully, this blog/video encourages future Dead man on one wheel to show off and doing other stuff that may hurt others and cause our health insurance costs go go up ever higher.
Cool stunts guys, love it. BUT please wear protective clothing !!!! AND if you really have to do it with a girl on the back then please only if shes fully kitted out !!

I love that people do this. I love watching stunts. I love that people are still able to do this on the streets without being arrested immediately...

Show offs with total disregard for other road users and pedestrians..they are not better than car drivers using cell phones they are as bad. There is a time and a place for this and its sure not on the public roads. These people give bikers a bad name. I have seen the result of when these stunts go wrong through my work and unfortunately a lot of the time it ends with burial. Keep it for the track or off road and wear your gear. I guess you cant put an old head on young shoulders...pity.
Public roads though have pedestrians, bicyclists, and moms just trying to drop their kids off at soccer practice, and putting THEIR safety at risk for personal amusement is bullcrap.
stunt riding and racing are awesome fun, but the street isn't the right place for that IMO. =)

I would feel safer riding beside someone doing wheelies concentrateing and being in control of their machine than someone driveing a car useing a cellphone !!
I would feel safer around a rabid bull dog than I would with my hands handcuffed behind me kneeling in front of a terrorist and his pals holding a video camera too.

I agree with you mostly I think, but hell I've heard stories of a chicken hitting a biker in the faceshield and paralyzing certain parts of him.
So if you replace us with a chicken, and our bikes with the cagers - that puts it in perspective that if a 400-500 pound bike hits a car, the driver is definitely in danger.

I envy people who have the skills to do stunts like that but on a public street it is extremely irresponsible. Risking hurting or killing yourself is one thing, risking hurting or killing an innocent bystander is something else entirely...
Here in Florida they now confiscate your bike if you are caught with a wheel off the ground a second time.
RC makes a good point. The public perception of these kinda displays is driving new, more restrictive legislation that will affect all riders -- like hefty fines, bike confiscation, license revocation etc.
Many of the pro street freestyle guys advocate taking it off the street - for all sorts of reasons. It's just that some guys haven't gotten the memo yet =)
