It must have been frustrating for viewers who liked the Grant family to see them vanish for years, get recast, and then vanish again. I like this woman who is playing Valerie here. The scene with Abe is beautifully written and acted.

I also really like that scene with Marie and the rest of the Hortons. They are all so believable. I wish Marie hadn't been written out.

That was the third version of Valarie Grant who was Abe's girlfriend. This was about 4 years after they fired Tina Andrews as Valarie. They replaced her with Rose Fonseca and this woman. Abe was Abe though, he finally went with Lexie who constantly cheated on him with different woman. One of the biggest fools in the history of soaps imo.

was this abe's frist wife or was it just a girlfriend cause lexie didn't come into the picture in the the mid 80's or late 80 right? i really don't know since i didn't watch days until 89 then i missed a year and pick it back up in 91
