  • This movie was my childhood, thank you.

  • Can SOMEBODY tell me the name of the girl who helped Big Bird ice skate from 02:24 to 04:38?! I searched Ask.com, but no answer to my question. If ANYONE knows her name, PLEASE PM me! Thank you!

  • @SmileyRileyTV I believe so.

  • Thanks for posting this! i grew up with this special...and it's still magical. :D

  • HAD to watch this after seeing Obscuris Lupa's review.

  • Funny how it took the producers 9 years after SS debuted to create a wonderfull Christmas Special.

  • @ 8:22...Big Bird becomes Gomer Pyle...lol

  • Merry Christmas, 2011

  • Oscar is not only a grouch, he's a first-class GRINCH.

  • Just out of curiosity has anyone figured out how fast everyone was going exactly during the snap the whip scene? Oscar and Bert had to be zipping being at the end of the line lol... :-o (hint: they were making a circuit every 4 seconds)

  • My favoret Sesame Street Christmas Song

  • Can you tell me where I might get a DVD or even VHS copy of this? Big part of my child hood and my copy of the tape is nearly unplayable cause I watched it so much...

  • @microjac50 Amazon amazon.ca/Sesame-Street-Christmas-Eve-DVD/dp/B00006RJAK

  • @11:46; look out, that'll get you arrested today by Giuliani. lol

  • Whew! It's a good thing that subway passed by at that time. We wouldn't have wanted to hear all that on a kids show, even thought that is Oscar's personality.

  • 13:18-13:26 Wow! that's the closest thing this show had to censoring any offensive language. But that's why it's so funny.

  • I saw this show when it first aired in 1978, I was 5.

  • that girl at 1:47 is cute I wander how she looks today?

  • Judging by the length of the sideburns this show must have been out in the 70's right?

  • @sportyruss

    First aired December 3, 1978

  • @paulsonj72 wow that makes me feel old, i was only 6 at the time

  • @Breen31173 This was pretty cool. But Gordan and Susan were actually Pointing at Bert, Ernie, Cookie, and The count playing Hockey. You can tell because you can see Susan start to laugh.

  • The music in before and after Fliz Navad shoud be on raidio

    Becasue I love it

Maby the raidio station shoud do is do the music before when Big bird and the girl roller skate then do All 3 verses and after the end of the song, the music when Big bird finlay learned to skate and give a hug should conclude this big number

  • @Ja100453 ICE skate, actually.

  • Damn it, no matter how old I get, I always watch this movie! I'm 21 right now! You've gotta cherish this movie!

  • <3 This brings back many memories!! <3

  • 8:50 Ernie used an extra pair of legs to play a trick on Bert?!? How hilarious!

  • @danielcelanorocks My thoughts exactly, pal.

  • Nice quality

  • Any one else find it funny that oscar and big bird are voiced by the same person?

  • @4929101 I actually find it awesome. Jim Henson voiced more than one of his Muppets, too, you know, like Ernie and Kermit the Frog.

  • i wish they still played this i rember watching this when i was a kid

  • That it's a great movie,than I like so much*-*

  • @ 8:05 trash can does a 180

  • @ 13:14 best part
