@supershuu - The evidence is there. The problem is that (1) you refuse to look for it, and (2) you would deny it if you found it. Think about it: what wrote the laws of thermodynamics, gravity, physics, etc? Since they are intangible forces that could not have resulted from the Big Bang (evidenced by the fact that they were all involved in the mechanism of the explosion and therefore in existence beforehand), "something" had to write and enforce these laws.

A scientific theory must explain how, in the case of evolution, something came to be, then it must stand up to peer review i.e. a hammering by other experts. It then must be independently verified in tests and lastly must predict future changes. All of which the theory of Evolution has done for over 150 years. It may very well be, however finding a fossil of a Lemur type animal that lived 47 million years ago and calling it the Missing Link is what embarrasses me. Eluding that it may be a possible Link and stating we really cant be sure would give science far more credibility. The fact is no scientist on earth can say this is a link with any certainty.

Unquestionably the emphasis in this video is all hype, and the whole quest for some "missing link" is just a polemic. But as far as I know, Ida is a valid fossil, filling in a gap in the development of the primate line which previously had no representative. A direct line from tetrapods to humans? Perhaps, perhaps not, but it is fairly close to species that are on that path.

There are no submitted papers which have survived the peer-review process that refute the Theory of Evolution, just as there are none which refute the Theories of Gravity, light or sound. Again, if you think that there is even one then please cite it.

@supershuu - The evidence is there. The problem is that (1) you refuse to look for it, and (2) you would deny it if you found it. Think about it: what wrote the laws of thermodynamics, gravity, physics, etc? Since they are intangible forces that could not have resulted from the Big Bang (evidenced by the fact that they were all involved in the mechanism of the explosion and therefore in existence beforehand), "something" had to write and enforce these laws.

@korzon I stated that "some" lemurs evolved with the 'upright' foot bones, meaning that others didn't; implying that a selection, or strain, of lemurs evolved thus, whilst others did not, and continued on as they were, without this evolutionary adaptation, simoltaneously as those that did. Quite likely in fact, and, indeed, is in fact what happened, given the evidence from this authentic fossil, which was well worth the $1,000,000 asking price, if you ask me, given what insight it has furnished.

As I said, Lucy has been researched by many, if you'd bother to look. Charles Oxnard has shown they are not tied to humans. There are too many others to list here. Johnson, who found her, can only say she "could have" walked upright. Leakey even said it's inconclusive.

I walked through the Smithsonian 'Hall of Human Origins' today, and they had no evidence for evolution in the entire exhibit. all of the skulls they put forward were either obviously ape or obviously human.
If you have better evidence, bring it forward, or direct me to a site holding it, because in all my searching, I have not found any evidence.

A scientific theory must explain how, in the case of evolution, something came to be, then it must stand up to peer review i.e. a hammering by other experts. It then must be independently verified in tests and lastly must predict future changes. All of which the theory of Evolution has done for over 150 years. It may very well be, however finding a fossil of a Lemur type animal that lived 47 million years ago and calling it the Missing Link is what embarrasses me. Eluding that it may be a possible Link and stating we really cant be sure would give science far more credibility. The fact is no scientist on earth can say this is a link with any certainty.

OK, can you tell us why? I'd really like to know what you know as a geneticist that would have you take that tack. Unquestionably the emphasis in this video is all hype, and the whole quest for some "missing link" is just a polemic. But as far as I know, Ida is a valid fossil, filling in a gap in the development of the primate line which previously had no representative. A direct line from tetrapods to humans? Perhaps, perhaps not, but it is fairly close to species that are on that path.

There are no submitted papers which have survived the peer-review process that refute the Theory of Evolution, just as there are none which refute the Theories of Gravity, light or sound. Again, if you think that there is even one then please cite it.

'Peer review' is the evaluation of scientific, academic, or professional work by others working in the same field. Hence my request that you substantiate your claim to refute Evolution by citing it.

Also, Kent Hovind has some great arguments against macro evolution, most try to discredit Hovind because he got busted for tax evasion, not sure what that has to do with his philosophy. What they didn't find is any ev-i-dence it is a transtional form. If so, where are the transtions? Uncounted billioins of fossils are found on earth, so numbers can't be the problem.

Regarding this fossil? None, I wasn't aware any had been published. My question was addressing your claim to be familiar with scientific peer reviewed papers. I'd recommend Herrel's paper on Podarcis sicula (2008) as an example.

Yes probably they don't use the correct verb for you, but it is the best thing to do when you are not 100% sure. Instead of claiming this is the entire true and all evidence are written just here: "God creates the universe and the heaven". Do you know how we classified the fauna or flora? If we consider them as primates, then we have evidence for that. The age "could" presume a relative link to us, because we are primates. But that does not mean "this is your grand parents"...

Please notice the title of this vid: "MIssing link found." Notice that there is no evidence in the vid, or anywhere, for that statement. It is not just in this vid that "might have" and "we believe" etc. etc. are found. Evolutionary literature is replete with such conditional phrases, & in fact such are the foundation for their writings. What do you mean by inorganic??? Carbon, Water, Oxygen, are inorganic, but they are in all the parts of your body... And where did you see that statement in a science book "life comes from rock". Only holy book!

The title is like the title i can find for creationism "Proof of god" "proof of creation" or "Science proved creation designer" and when you watch the video, you have a guy trying to show you how evolution is wrong and nothing else to prove creation.
To say: "we have the good answer", you need a minimum. You can say "it is square and not circle beacause of angles, but it could be triangle as well,

""Fossil A has characteristics of fossil B, therefore A came from B." They can't play that game with the "PreC" & "Cambiran" periods because they (wrongly) decided those are the first 2 levels of life.
The truth is, MS, you don't have any evidence for how life started, or where those fossils came from. The "Holy Book" says things just showed up, fully formed, and then creation stopped. Guess what? THAT matches what you have not been able to provide...the ev-i-dence!

Clearly I had already several discussion with her, but she does not understand the minimum required for evolution and all the other sciences that disprove creationism such as genetic, geology, astronomy etc. etc. And now she started to talk about planet Xena and the 2012 cataclysm, i hope she will be there to see the happy new year 2013!
Genetic is the best eveidence of evolution, but the "complexity" of this science is too strong for "intelligent" design people...

Use the brain you believe god gave you to think before you speak. You claim evolution has many holes but if that's the case then the bible is just one big hole. There is absolutely nothing to back any of the claims in it!
And for the future just spouting nonsense is not the way to make an argument. If you want a claim to have any validity you have to give supporting reasoning and evidence. Please I would like to here from your mouth the holes in evolution and the evidence for biblical claims

2. Go read Dawkin's The God Delusion.
Just two books. Both easily refute the idea of religion, of God. They explain/argue the futility of religion and God; they use evidence in their arguments. Evidence. All that those who not believe or those that wish to be agnostic or atheist simply ask a question, as Harris states: "just prove to me that God exists". Simple? Can that be? If not, why pray to an "imaginary friend"?

Prove that to me, somehow. But, you can't. Because, your 'imaginary friend' will not part the clouds and descend. Haha. Don't get me wrong in the post below, deffinitly some people died in WWII, but it was no where near 6 million, more like 400,000, and most of them were Polish. However there was indeed a mass murder of 20 million Russian Christians from 1918 - 1940 carried out by the Jewish lead Bolchivics. Look it up.

I think your responding comment was intended for another audience. But, to go along with what you said, the Jewish Bolshevism is a notion of anti-Semitism. Such a Judeo-Revolution was evident or occurred only out of the wide range persecution they faced as minorities. Now, looking at numerous similar situations in history, the rise of the minority against an oppressive majority is quite popular. Such "mass murder" has occurred throughout history.

Yeah, through out History, their history, and it seems they did all the killing, often to people who did nothing to them, it's in their own sacred history. Anyway, the point is they own media and push the halocaust story in that media, along with the 'offical' 911 story, but never mention 20 million Christians murdered in Russia for their land, buddy! (The usual reason!) See old testiment, Jewish religion teaches they can rob any non-Jew, (see Talmud) Christian law says different.

I agree little Satan suckling (and that's not a nipple) So, if there were a species for a million years, it is safe to say over that time period at least a trillion of them lived. Remove 99.9% to dust, that still leaves 1 billion of them that should have fossilized. Where are they?
