@danogroat Hi and thanks! Use a good condenser mic that can capture the essence of your guitar and playing... I record the guitar with a Rode NT2-A to computer - then I sync that recording to the video in a video editing software.
@pinofluvius Just like that?? I have a Rode mic too. If I'd record like that I'd get everything else sorounding me on the recording as well. The tram, breathing, neighbours fighting etc. How do you get it so clean?? Do you make some big adjustments in your sequencer program?
@egilaat Well, lucky for me , we now live in our own house, and I have a room that I call "the studio". But breathing can still be a problem. When I lived in an apartment I often had to stop in the middle of recordings because some neighbor took out the power drill...

Lovely playing, sir! I listened to both versions, and both sound great to me, anyway ! If they were played to me standing in a room, with no reverb other than natural, I'm sure I'd know the difference, though, as you say. Very, very good. The seamless flow of pace and sound you portrait in you style is perhaps to polished..?. Add a very subtle level of "harshness" Add more presence of pace; a subtle rush just to slow down and fall back into the natural pace and mode of sensitivity again. Variation on the dynamic possibilities is key for you to grow even better in my opinion. Play on! :-)

Hey Martin...got your CD....fantastic! I have shaved my head, lit a candle, picked up my guitar....but for some reason it doesnt sound as good as yours.....maybe i need new strings....or about 20 years more practice.....damn, I thought shaving my head would do it.
you didn't need to all of that man to sound like him.....you just needed to put that thingamajig on the fourth fret of the guitar! but dont despair, I am sure your hair will grow back in:)
My only criticism would be that you repeat the verse over and over whereas I feel it would be better if you deviate and give something new each time - build on the melody. A different note here, an octave there etc. Just expand to make each verse reconisable yet different from the last.

Thanks, it´s an Alvarez 5220CEQ, nothing fancy, just an old inexpensive guitar... It happened to sound pretty sweet for this song/ tuning, but I couldn´t really recommend it :)

Sorry to hear... The 5th string is tuned DOWN to G, I hope you weren´t trying to tune an octave up or something :)
Note that the resulting key with the capo at 4th fret is open B.

You can´t use the same tab in standard tuning. It´s, however, quite possible to play a similar arr. in standard tuning.

Very, very good. The seamless flow of pace and sound you portrait in you style is perhaps to polished..?. Add a very subtle level of "harshness" Add more presence of pace; a subtle rush just to slow down and fall back into the natural pace and mode of sensitivity again. Variation on the dynamic possibilities is key for you to grow even better in my opinion. Play on! :-)

Hey Martin...got your CD....fantastic! I have shaved my head, lit a candle, picked up my guitar....but for some reason it doesnt sound as good as yours.....maybe i need new strings....or about 20 years more practice.....damn, I thought shaving my head would do it.

you didn't need to all of that man to sound like him.....you just needed to put that thingamajig on the fourth fret of the guitar! but dont despair, I am sure your hair will grow back in:)

Amazing.
My only criticism would be that you repeat the verse over and over whereas I feel it would be better if you deviate and give something new each time - build on the melody. A different note here, an octave there etc. Just expand to make each verse reconisable yet different from the last.

Thanks, it´s an Alvarez 5220CEQ, nothing fancy, just an old inexpensive guitar... It happened to sound pretty sweet for this song/ tuning, but I couldn´t really recommend it :)
