Hey Jared, I know you name-dropped your kick pedals in the bass drum tuning video as snakes or serpents, but what kick drum do you use? I'm not a double-kick drummer, so what single do you recommend?
Wow, the 3 stroke pattern (5:45) is pretty much the same you can hear in Mogwai-"Scotland's Shame". Thats a good one to take if you wanna practice along with music - lots of the post rock stuff is actually low tempo with lots of space in it. It can blow your mind in pieces. Enjoy!
How tigh are those pedals? 'Cause I tried that foot technique with my pedals at a medium/low tension and they didn't give me enough rebound to execute the second and third strokes properly as they did with a higher tension.
@Battossai3000 It's posted on our @drumlessonscom channel. Just search there for 7/4 fusion and you'll find it. You can download the MP3 on the website as well.
Jared, you've really developed as a TV personality and presenter. I remember from your first year or two on freedrumlessons watching and thinking you were maybe a marionette. Keep pushing forward and never stop smiling!
To spice it up introduce yourself as "Hi this mothafucking Jared Falk and I'm about to rip open this drum set and fuck it with a beat. Peep this shit.
All the drummers on this channel are really badass, but I like Nick Swardson's lessons slightly more. Thanks Nick, you've really helped me become a good drummer.
Your videos are very inspiring and have help me a lot with my speed!

Hey, Jared! :)
I made a video of Punk-Rock play along, and I'm interested in a song from a beginning of the video? Do you have it on a website or channel?
And thanks for all the lessons. You rock! ;)

How much did you pay for this bionic triple-hit foot?
Are they one-size-fits-all?

What size drumsticks do you use?

how do you count 32nd notes??
pugs321 4 months ago
@pugs321 Just like 16th notes (1 e and a 2 e and a etc) but then simply double it. That's what works for me so maybe for you as well.
