A few years ago, two parents went out for dinner. A few hours later, the babysitter was calling to ask if she could cover up the clown statue in the kids' room, the father said,"Take the kids and get out of the house. We'll call the police, we don't have a clown statue." The "clown statue" is really a killer that escaped from jail. If you don't post this letter on to 10 videos tonight, the clown will be in your bed at 3:00 am with a chainsaw in his hand;sorry i didnt want that happening to me
The three deaths that day happened at a different debris flow in Devore about a mile southeast of this street, which is Greenfield. The fatal debris flow went through a KOA campground. A number of homes on Greenfield were completely destroyed, most were damaged. There might have been fatalities if the community had not been as alert and if everyone had not looked out for each other as well as they did.
I'll never forget that year! I live just below where all that happened. My wife and I have lived in Devore almost 20 years and never seen anything like this. I stumbled upon this after loading an original song I wrote about this little town, it's called "Lots of Rocks" - please check it out if you get a chance. Thanks for sharing! Mark
Hey neighbor, we're so lucky that it didn't come right down Santa Fe Ave, aren't we....I remember driving over the Devore Ave Bridge when the culvert next to Den and Robin's over-filled a few days later and couldn't figure out why the traffic wasn't moving....at least the hills are still bare and we don't have to worry about another couple of fires running us out of our little piece of heaven called DEVORE!

I remember that was the most strong storm of the season. We had very little rainfall that 03-04 winter.

@bapyou No I just over here in Whittier. I remember the smoke being in the air tell the first real storm cleared it out a bit on Halloween.

Boy, that is crazy to have all that muck and huge rocks rushing past your house - not what you want to receive as a present on Christmas Day.
