I've always donated to thrift stores but I had never gone until I went with a friend of mine and she found a very nice Dooney and Bourke purse for $20 and I paid $200 for mine! UGH, I was hot because hers was cuter and bigger! LOL.

And I loooove Vintage!! Like your tips on shopping at thrift stores. I go to a thrift store here in Germany 'Fundgrube' and it is relatively clean. They keep the linens clean and nicely folded and the clothing seems to be clean as well.
Though I have been to Salvation Army in U.S. and know exactly what you mean. LoL. I like goodwill better than Salvation army as far as cleanness is concerned! Kuss from BW, Germany!!

Yep...thrifting isn't for me. I went last night and I was in and out. I wasn't really feeling the smell and I'm surely not trying anything on if it hasn't been washed first.
I was rolling laughing when you said "I almost released a little ghetto"...hilarious! These are good tips cause I"m not a thrift store shopper, but I want to get into it. Every time, I go I'm in and out real quick. I never go through the racks thoroughly

All depends on your area. Some thrift shope have brand new items that were never worn by the owner.
