  • You think this lady is bad, look up Jenny McArthy and her ill-informed rant about link between autism and vaccination. :( (why do hot girls have to be so stupid?)

  • There is no thing of man made global warming

  • the global swindle

  • 'Climate' denier? Does he deny that there is a climate?

    No.

He QUESTIONS ANTHROPOGENIC 'global warming', that's all.

There is no such thing as 'global warming', and certainly no anthropogenic 'global warming'. Sickening, self-righteous THICK twats believe in this latest 'religion', and don't want to debate the facts, do they...

  • @packoftwenty And you are qualified to make that judgement? You are more informed than the 98% of climate scientists who actually think global warming is real?

  • @TheGamanic you should check out piers corbyn. he's the most accurate long range forecaster in the world. he uses his solar lunar magnetic jet stream theory coupled with patterns in the past with similiar conditions to predict weather. evidence trumps 98% everytime. why? because science isn't based on consensus. plus whenever their is a carbon weather relationship, it is in reverse order. extra heat releases carbon from ocean

  • Cancer is a disease of old age. He's right. The reason cancer rates are going up is that people are living so much longer. When people were dying of other causes, they were not living long enough to get cancer.

  • The ingrediants for Plastic comes from Crude oil. So ask yourself this question, which is more destructive to the environment; Killing all the elephants in the world for their Ivory Tusks, or killing barrels of crude oil to make plastic instead?

  • Plastic was explicity invented to protect the Elephants from beign hunted into extinction. In the 1800's Elephants were being hunted into extinction for their Ivory Tusks. Someone put up a $10,000 reward to find a replacement for Ivory so that they could pass laws to prevent the mass slaughter of elephants for their Ivory Tusks. And that led to the invention of Plastic, which had all the same propertys of Ivory, but didn't require the killing of any elephants. So Plastic saved the elephants.

  • Why would anyone ban plastic bags wtf? They go in the ocean? Ummmm the ocean currents completely break down plastic bags. Animals get rapped up in them? Please that is so anecdotal.

  • I thought of buying a reusable bag from my local supermarket but instead I came up with really radical idea....I tried using the plastic bags from a previous visit to the supermarket and incredibly it worked!!! I was worried the bags might turn into a kettle or escape by running away or maybe spontaneously combust but they didn`t . I was going to patent this concept but I am willing to altruistically share it with the world.

  • @aelfredhauscarl And then, they ripped.

  • Kyra is so right plastic bags suck (I use them for garbage but don't buy any plastic bags) I'm on the 3rd floor with a beautiful tree outside my bedroom window.

Every time the wind blows a plastic bag stuck in the tree canopy makes annoying screaming flapping sound in the wind. The bags been there 2 years...........

  • You've got to laugh at McAleer. Could the recession in Ireland be linked to having Greens in power? Ummm might have something to do with the banks throwing about cheap money to people who wanted to get rich quick on the property ladder. Wasn't that what Fianna Fail were about? Nothing green in building hundreds of miles of motorways and ghost estates. And by the way wasn't the road-building meant to usher us into a new age of competitive prosperity?

  • Well, the huge BOOM in Ireland was powered by the extremely cheap loans given by the German central bank to the Bank of Ireland. Then, two years ago they called them in. Now Ireland is in free fall and requires a "bail out".

Don't believe me... I suggest you look on google for "The Irish crisis explained in 30 seconds telegraph"

    There's the real story.

  • at 1:17 McAleer says "Cancer's a disease of old age."

Every time I listen to this guy, he's saying something stupid. He needs to spend some time in a childrens' cancer ward or living/working around toxic waste. He's also one of the bozos that pandered a heavy snowstorm as [proof] against climate change. It's quite obvious that he prefers to wipe his ass with science books instead of reading them. He's as bad as Hannity and Beck.

  • Did anyone really expect Kyra Sedgwick to know what the hell she was talking about?

  • @Mugzee1969 Kyra knows her stuff. she one sweet lady & more are needed, please ladies your breastmilk is filled with toxins..........

  • I'm sorry, Phelim really won that debate. There are many legitimate points an environmentalist can make, so it's just sad when they come with no facts and no understanding. It's important to see the whole world in these discussions, not just one little bougie corner of it. It's more complex than "plastic bags bad," unfortunately.

  • You got charmed by a pretty face, you weak-willed boghopper. ;-)

  • "maybe you overextended yourself."

Clearly. It's better that Ireland plunge into a recession, just in time to shackle itself to the Lisbon treaty, rather than show signs of independence and prosperity with a few plastic bags.

Maybe if there's another famine there they'll lower their carbon footprint, like in Ethiopia.

  • @CRAPCANNONS Hahahaha, I love you. <3

  • While I appreciate Kyra being respectful enough not to yell at Phelim, she really can't justify calling it a debate when he refutes every green/hippie talking point with facts, and she just changes the subject and/or admits ignorance. Still , loved ya in singles, Kyra!

  • According to Phelim McAleer, "bag lady" is a term of wealth.

  • Actually, the rates for most cancers in the US have been on the decline for a couple of decades now. Kyra Sedwick spouts another lefty enviro-myth...

  • Oh, she's so smart. Look at that condescending "isn't the little Denier cute" grin she has . Leftists are as ignorant as they think everyone else is.

  • Funny that Kyra hold's Europe up as a shining example of Liberalism's triumps.

Give it a decade Kyra, istead of bikini's they'll be wearing Burka's.

The true "non-Human" fruits of Liberalism ARE failure and oppression.

  • I like Kyra Sedgewick's work. I know she's a nutty greenie, but she was polite. Most of H'wood cant say that.

  • we reused a bag because we were poor...

    awesome Phelim! just awesome!

  • Typical Hollywood ill informed Dimwit...., but looks good Naked.........

  • The reusable bags get dirty and infected. That's why we invented plastic bags. We have gradually reduced their thickness, used more recycled material, and provided more places to recycle them. Plastic bags aren't killing anybody or anything. The problem with people like Sedgwick is they are 'out of sight, out of mind' people: they fixate on a problem and are convinced that once it is out of their sight, it's gone.

  • you can wash most bags.

  • @brainiacgames check your data for India. The protected cows eat the bags in search of food bits, can't pass them, and die from them hanging out in the stomach. India has passed laws to limit the thickness of the bags, but compliance is determined by cost and mindfulness--can you guess how that's going?

My re-useable get washed now and then, here in the US, and I don't think anybody's gotten sick from them. You do know not to chew on the re-useable bags, right?

  • @brainiacgames "Plastic bags aren't killing anybody or anything."

Plastic is made with petrol. Making plasic bags is extremely harmful to the environment: not only does it end up all over the place and contaminates everything, even the processes used to produce it are way polluting.

Anything disposable is bad as it depletes resources faster than we ever could replace them and the manufacturing process pollutes big time. I'd rather be poor with reusable bags than dye young of cancer.

  • We're all dying so badly according to this moronic woman and her new age toxic fish religion.

  • No one ever said Kyra was smart. Pretty yes, at one time, but smart? Just goes to prove it's better to be smart, because looks go a lot faster than brains.

  • Kyra Sedgwick was so smart that she fell for the Bernie Madoff Perpetual Money Machine.

Snake oil: liberals bathe in it.

  • seek out George Carlin for any answers you may need regarding the planet.

  • Im sure she's packin a Gucci shopping bag

  • it's her many and still better than using a new plastic bag everytime.

  • They both have a point, but are trying to not give in to the other. We can be more responsible about our litter without banning plastic bags. The answer is to come up with another alternative that works in a business model, not to have the government protect us from ourselves. At least they could disagree amicably. At this point, that is a victory in itself.
