  • Can baking powder be used where baking soda is unavailable? Can't seem to find it

  • @calotapaloma I don't think so because baking soda is coarser which works better for exfoliation.

  • I've also started using baking soda for almost everything and feel stupid for all the beauty industry crap I've spent money on over the years, but I just wanted to ask: do you actually use it to remove eye make-up? I avoid getting it around my eyes because I'm afraid it will burn.

  • @Trophime No, I never use it to remove I makeup. It is more of an exfoliant treatment.

  • I'm sitting here with my first baking soda mask on my face right now. Iv noticed from your more recent videos that your skin is beautiful. How often do u do this baking soda regimen?

  • @QuayTheCanaryDiamond To be honest I don't do the baking soda cleanse as often as I should. I use the baking soda more for exfoliation as opposed to a mask. The granules and texture help to slough off old cells.

  • @QuayTheCanaryDiamond also...thanks for the compliment!!!

  • Im seriously considering a detox and raw foods diet. Can you give recommendations/suggestions?

  • @kokodesigns Sure...check out my 2011 Master Cleanse and Daniel Fast vid and my Alternatives to the Master Cleanse vid. I think I also have a couple other videos that mention vegetarianism and recommend some good books. I think this is a great idea!!!1 Kudos to you!

  • I JUS HAD A BIG BREAK OUT ON MY FACE, I HAD BREAK OUTS BEFORE , BUT NEVER LIKE THIS, IS IT BECAUSE I WAS USE THREE DIFFERENT TYPE OF ACNE PRODUCTS, AND WASHING MY FACE TO ROUGH? NOW IM LEFT WITH SCARING, ITS CLEARING UP , BUT SLOWLY,

  • @Sweetpealov I'm sorry to hear that...I would recommend you stop using such harsh products and find some natural products for your skin. I would also recommend that you be mindful that you are sleeping on a clean pillow case, you tie your hair up and night, and keep your hair off your face. Finally I would recommend that you lay off the sugar and try a diet of fresh raw fruits and veggies for 30 days along with drinking the master cleanse lemonade drink in the morning and throughout the day.

  • @NaturalJourney thanks! but im a big veggie eater and change pillow case every trhree days, but i did try the baking soda, and lov it. im starting to see my face agine. so how many days do u reccomended that i exfoliated with the baking soda, i mix a little palmer coca butter soap with it. thanks for the info

  • @Sweetpealov check out my latest video where I give some tips on what I use on my skin...African Black Soap and Witch Hazel.

  • @xXBabziesXx NO!!! it'll burn your face. baking powder and baking soda are NOT the same... good luck. i've been using baking soda and it's working :)

  • Nice kitchen! Anyway, I'm gonna try this. Been getting into home facial care lately after discovering lemon works just as well as those $40 exfoliation pads that only last a month lol

  • @WarRogers Great! You are right about lemons! My mom was on to that back when I was a little girl...she had us rub lemons on our face at night to make our skin clear.

  • vaseline

  • @Sweetpealov Vaseline is not good for us...it is made of a petrolateum and/mineral oil which are not natural and toxic. Better to use a natural oil like coconut, almond, olive, shea butter, or a natural product line like Burts Bees to moisturize your skin.

  • @quadree1 Thanks so much!

  • @xXBabziesXx I'm not sure...never tried baking powder, but I think the texture of baking soda is a little coarser than powder thus helping with the exfoliation.

  • what was the product you're using for your smiles lines and wrinkle on your forehead?

  • @ginasjazz Burt's Bees eye cream w/ pomegranite.

  • I had started integrating the baking soda with my Black Opal Acne Cleanser and it has been great. Thanks of the info.

  • @Letwisdomspeak1 You bet!

  • awhhh your soo pretty! :)

  • @TikkiSkater6Tikki Thanks so much!

  • I have the same fridge.:D

  • I will definitely give this a try. I gotta work on shrinking my product junky ways...lol. But thank you for this.

  • @mochaCityify You're welcome. Yeah, me too!!

  • Very good and helpful video .

  • @stlukemusic Thanks!!!

  • check out my video on the same thing I use it to get rid of pimples. and excessive oil in the skin

  • I just tried the baking soda exfoliator and i like it. As far as my eyes, I LOVE natural cocoa butter. I just rub the cocoa butter into the skin around my eyes and condition my eyelashes with it. My lashes are more healthy, longer and darker since I have been using it. Its works well for fine lines and dark circles too. Would not recommend cocoa butter for the entire face though, just around the eyes because it can clog pores.

  • @sezylioness Great suggestion...I use the coconut oil...I wonder if that will work like the cocoa butter. I will try it and let you know.

  • How do you use the avocado oil? Do you just rub it in or do you leave it on for a while and then wash it off?

  • @saxsupersax1 I used the avocado oil on my body, not too much on my face. At this point though the only oil I use consistently is organic coconut oil. I love that stuff for my face, body, and hair. I only use a little bit on my face and only on my dry spots...I have combination skin so don't need it everywhere. Let me know if you try it and how you like it.

  • i started doing the baking soda every day(2x a day..w/ lotion after..) do u use olive oil as a makeup remover?

  • @infojunkie87 I have not tried olive oil for my makeup remover. I think I am a little nervous because I wear contacts and don't want to get oil on them, so I usually use a water based remover. I am sure it works well though...so I may still try it.

  • you should use olive oil to remove makeup around your eyes. Baking soda is great for your skin but not around and on your eyes this part is to sensitive try the olive oil with a cotton ball!!! Love your kitchen and your tutorial I just subscribe

  • Great suggestion!!! I will definitely try that! Thanks for subcribing!!!!

  • yes! olive oil is soo moistening its done wonders for my skin!

  • Try Sea Salt as well! It exfoliates and shrinks pours to help elminate any dirt from entering. Baking Soda also works great!

  • I will try that!! Thanks.

  • I definitely want to try this.. I'm just scared lol

  • Don't be scared...it is gentle...at least to me. If you want you can try adding a little to your normal cleanser for a gentle exfoliant. Let me know if you try it...

  • Oh, I'm so glad you liked it!!! Check out my Sephora Haul video for a suggestion on a moisturizer. BTW, would you mind rating this video for me? I love the feedback. Thanks a million!

  • I luv this video, I've been using the baking soda cleanser and I luv it, now I'm just looking for a really good moisturizer because I have oily skin, any suggestions!!!!!!!!!!
