This is a great film. Well directed, acted, and the music as well. It is very different, I don't think a studio would agree to finance a picture like this now. There is something about the north which is silently powerful. A great film.

I watched this film when i was 14, and i loved it.

This is entirely different from the book. In the book, Farley thinks that a wolf is a husky puppy crying out for company. He thinks that he can sneak up on the pup and take it home. He sneaks up on the wolf, George in this case, only to have the heck scared out him.
