when my dog was very young (shes around 9 and still acts like a puppy) someone would pretend to hit us and my dog would attack us but shes gotten old of that game and is old. we think she is a hovawart or is a mix. do hovawarts like to run around in the forest and love snow?
Why would u do protection work with a hovawart?.. u cant train them to attack and then let go. Its not a game for them. Can be very dangrous to train a hova this.
u should say so yea, but its rly hard for them. There are lots of other breeds that are way better at this. A hovawart is a family, guarding or a scent dogg and not an attack dog.
hovawart means ground protector.
So they should be protective.
Thats what they are made for.
Shure they are good family dogs as well...
