@eltonej ''Alexandre Dumas pere wrote over 400 historical novels expsoing world tyranny(Roman Catholic Empire). Alexandre Dumas pere was born near paris in 1802 and 'coincidentally' in 1902 The Society of Gesu(Jesuits) were expelled from France for the 3rd and alst time. The Society of Jesu(Jesuits) have been expelled from 83 countries and their pope is ARAMIS AND HE IS ALSO KNOWN AS THE COUNT OF MONTE CHRISTO(GENERAL OF THE JESUITS).
I grew up watching the band play in fields and concert halls. This song will always uplift and power me on to greater heights!I will never forget playing the big wooden xylophone on stage at the age of 14 with a young autistic kid ! we both had the biggest grins ever.... {:> Much love to Dave Darling, Paul Winter and Ralph Towner. Respect for posting this fave of mine! that whole album is a real journey!
@Peacenrespect I remember the big wooden xylophone, too, and loved it when the band, one by one, would put down their instruments and pick up sticks and join in, until the entire band was playing on the thing in the middle of the floor. I think they did that for the song 'Minuit'.
@bokkenneth2 Michael Tsarion is the worlds premier conspiracy reseracher/lecturer/author. Leo Zagami, Jordan Maxwell and Alexandre Dumas pere are highly informative as well. p.s. Melting Euphoria is similar to Ozric Tentacles and Gong.
i have this album on a record (vinyl) its on paul winters earthdance album, and on the record sleeve it tells the story of the astronauts taking this album to the moon with them and the whole story of them naming the two moon craters after there two favorite songs on the album, icarus and ghost beads!! its pretty intresting!!
@myrddred I remember their concerts from the 70's also, and you are probably thinking of the song 'Minuit', when they would play the big wooden xylophone in the middle of the floor, both are beautiful songs. I remember one of their concerts where they brought a Canadian Timber Wolf (it was a puppy, but it was as big, or bigger, than an adult German Shepherd) and let it wander free through the audience.
@bokkenneth2 "The minority, the ruling class at present, has the schools and press, usually the Church as well, under its thumb. This enables it to organize and sway the emotions of the masses, and make its tool of them."

@bokkenneth2 The "Amadinda" was an African instrument made with 2X4s similar to a marimba.....saw the group at Western Connecticut State College in 72....
Paul Winter always pisses me off with his douche bag rythm section overkill - truly beautiful song - but all I can here is his stupid fucking bells and traps
You piss me off with "geek" comments. I saw the Consort perform it live at the Cathedral Church of St. John the Devine and it was one of the most inspiring pieces of music I ever heard. I listened to it on my walkman when I ran the Sri Chinmoy 24 hour race in Queens in 1983 and it helped me through a very rough patch. Take your negativity and move on.
in the late 70's I think it was Kite day ? It is still one of the most beautiful songs I ever heard. It was a beautiful day in my life I still treasure, with my then beau Timothy Sweet time
Mr. Winter performed this song live at the memorial service for John Denver in October 1997...that is where I first was introduced to it. I was fortunate to have found it on CD back then. Thanks for your post.
OMG........Sooo glad to have found this vid for this song!!!!!!!!! Have LOVED it since I first heard it back in '92 - when I bought a compltn. CD of New Age (kind of obscure) songs!!! Thanks!!!!!
Charles Darling was an incredible Cellist!!!!!
