  • On the RTR AC4400 I added weight under the shell and got more pulling power. If you want to pull long freights the Proto 2000 SD50 or SD60 will pull about 40 cars by themself. Bachman is getting better their SD40-2 is the best locomotive they made so far. I run it with Atheran, Kato, and Proto 2000 and it does fine.

  • Can i ask why you avoid athearn ? I have 3 athearn loco`s and the good.

  • @00VirginTrains1 They tend to break gears and be noisy it depends on the engine their smaller engines are fine but some are just noisy and not made with the best quality, like having plastic clips to hold the shell on instead of screws

  • @BoeingNerd I have to say the smaller engine`s are better like GP`s but there not too bad.

Can I ask what train maker would you recommend I have a few bachmann there quite good but ive never had atlas, by the way i do very much like this consist you have (:

  • @00VirginTrains1 bachmann makes great engines so does atlas and broadway limited, rapido anything brass...

  • @BoeingNerd okay thankyou, yeah i agree bachmann engines are fantastic thats why i have them there so reliable.

  • Im a desrt model railroader too. Is the Chodachrome unit an Atlas. thnak you for sharing

  • @7nordic yep its an atlas, very good pulling engine, i try to avoid athearn as much as possible
