@jthomcres From what I've been shown, you have to super jump and advance guard the attack to take the least amount of damage. But either way, this has to be the cheapest final boss I've ever played against on Hard mode since.... well since I played FFVII and fought sephiroth

With vergil u can spam Y-B-Y-B-Y-B-Y-B and block when he attaks...

U will kill him in 15 secs o.O

when you 3rd character gets in x factor super he toast this is the easiest way to beat arcade on very hard i use tron as second char i do jumping h s standing h s jumping h s till she dies then lvl 3 x factor sometimes galactus dies before you third char just tag the char then that u want to beat the game with x factor and kill him thumbs up if this is the best guide in 2 comments

wow ppl have problems with galactus srsly? thsi guide sukz ill tell you how to do it. pick sentinel as first character for some reason the cpu has trouble blocking his crouching m even on very hard this is very usefull against those silver clones. u should be able to beat them on very hard withoud taking any damage. when you fight galctus jump and atk l then m the h then s. when galactus does an atack just hard drive this should do it when sent dies just damge him like a scrub then

@preo2 Because a massive man in a purple suit with a helmet shaped like a "tuning fork" (as said in the video) would look extremely cheesy and unrealistic in a live-action movie. It was the same issue with the whole "Dark Phoenix" thing in the X-Men movie: They wanted to incorporate the idea, but needed to find a way to do it without turning everyone off who wasn't a marvel fanboy.

@6ThreeSided9 I don't buy that for one second. With the special effects and movie technology of today they could have pulled it off easily without it looking phony or cheesy. Look at the giant man in the remake of The Day The Earth Stood Still, he sure didn't look cheesy. The giant in the Watchmen also, they both looked very realistic. Even the giant aliens in War of the Worlds (the Tom Cruise remake) looked real. Galactus wouldn't be any more difficult to make look real than any of those.

But you fail to understand what I mean by realistic; I don't mean that they would do a bad job animating him, I mean that the CONCEPT would seem fake. All the things you mentioned were portrayed in a fashion which still looks good to most people today, not to mention they make sense.

@preo2 That's key here: Giant Man from Day the Earth stood still? Humanoid, but still looks not that human, and it is reasonable to think that an alien war-machine could look like that. Giant from Watchmen? I don't know much about Watchmen, but if I'm correct, it does make some sense that he would look how he looks. The giant alien machines from War of the Worlds is also alien looking, and one could imagine that they would look how they were portrayed.

@6ThreeSided9 Even the concept of a giant cosmic being that ate worlds is, within scifi reasons, believable. But if you told me - or most viewers for that matter - that said being looked like a giant man in a crazy purple suit? I think people would have trouble believing that.

Keep in mind that this is not to say that they couldn't have done better in FF2, but a giant cloud of smoke sounds much more believable to me than a giant angry man dressed like... well, like that.

I use Amaterasu with a 5x HP->S-> standard air combo+ double assist air combo to bring the herald down to half life, then switch back to Amaterasu, equip devout beads and pound both of them with the whip simultaneously, dealing twice the damage while building my charges. When they're both down, I usually unleash a combo attack on Galactus because he's slow at first, then switch to a jumper till I get him to beat state, at which point I can X-factor with anyone and beat the crap out of him.

There's so many ways of getting out of that move where he grabs you with both hands.. Mash the buttons on the controller and you'll eventually break out. OR better yet. You the help of an assist character and if done quick enough you can easily get out without takin any damage. Thats if your dumb enough to get caught by his hands anyway though. Man they made the boss a little too easy..

I managed to beat him without jumping and just timing my blocks and mashing buttons to break out of his hold on normal difficulty. (really should have mentioned that you can break out of that "instant kill move")
