Nice bike.... I work with an electric bike company out here in San Jose, CA. Current Moves. My own bike is a stretched Macargi with a Golden Motor Magic Pie Kit, 48v Lithium Ion, 1000w, 35mph! Love the chopper scene, making them electric only makes them that much sweeter.....
Well this one didn't quite have the specs I would have liked. Range was about 8 miles, 20 mph, and took about 4 hours to charge. I am hoping to find another one of these frames and do it right. 1hr charge, front brakes, 30mph, 20 mile range, and of course about 500% more torque. Should be wicked.
Great Video! Did you buy the hub motor with the wheel? I am interested in getting a wheel like that for my Schwinn Spoiler. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
I got the frame from a guy who want to do this project. He had the motor custom Laced into the wheel and I basically picked it up from there. The motor was a no name but supposed to be German made. Doesn't have the power of a 4 series Crystalyte.
GREAT JOB Magudman. really nice... love it. could you e-mail me the Price of this Bicycle ? please and are you building more of them?! or was it just a Prototype.
It was a one off. I don't have a steady supply for the frames. The guy that started GT bikes builds those frames and has stopped since then. I would love to have another chance to build another with a much higher wattage motor and using Lithium (lifepo4) batteries. Thing could seriously scream, 30mph+

Right now I am asking for $1400 in the San Francisco bay area. I have invested quite a bit of cash and time getting the chopper to where it is now.
