  • one of best moments in electronic music ever.

  • pure gold.

  • Ca defonce!!!! Oui oui!!!!!

  • Man... when this guys got in the scene all whent down the drain! The 80's were over and it was sad, this shit and Yazz and Bomb the Bass and Sinita killed pop music. But that's cool to remember how life sometimes sucked :p Acid house my ass...

  • thats that jeremy healy nutter up there again init

  • Also look for the improved HQ version in my files!

  • Tune!!

  • I hate to rain on all you guys parade, but I hate that artists steal rhythms from the past to make money in the future. Oh well what ever is cleaver right? The original is:

Rose Royce - Is It Love your After

  • they were well ahead of their time, were they not??

  • this is house, dumbo!

  • top tune of the 80s..i remember goin for it in a club in manchester..wow..

  • thanks for uploading this!

  • ACID , right? Wasnt it called acid music?

  • acid house

  • yeah it was acid house, i cant remember if techno came after..

  • Awesome song, like a wall of sound that hits you and makes you wanna dance.

  • This was played alot back then. Great Song.

    Cheers Lor xx

  • I remember traveling to Leeds in May 1988 and listening to this song in every night club.......a few good shags there too. :)

    Memories indeed

  • Ah the summer of love! :)

  • allora si che si ballava in discoteca!!!!!

    zan zan

  • da cineteca una canzone mixata in mille salse sempre bella

  • mdma

  • love watching a band perform a song composed entirely on samples. CLASSIC!!!

  • I agree....

she's got definitely a great body

  • IT'S ALL ABOUT THE BLACK GIRL!

  • the black girl with curly hair is damn huge !!

  • awesome, it's so wicked to see people getting down to the acid sound 20 yrs ago... wish I'd been there.

  • I love the white girl with short hairdo playing synth on the left .... does anyone know who she is/was ?

  • cant roit a book on it-but i think thas cait o'reirden...if you thinks she looks hot-hear her voice....ooooooh aaaaah penta star

  • Cait O'Reirden ... I think I'll carve her name into my bedroom's walls :)))... I 've never heard this name... has she done anything else apart from playing for S - Express ? anyway, is she the same girl playing keyboards on "mantra for a state of mind" ? the one in brown suite I mean ... a wonderful voice ? well I'm not surprised .... an angel's voice in an angel's body ...:))

  • think she done backing vocals and mebbe bass with the pogues last i heard, only guessing its her mind-good luck now

  • I've made some research on google about her ... the correct name is Cait O'Riordan , but in the article on Wikipedia there's no reference to S Express ...it says she's been married to Elvis Costello too...I've seen some picture of her and I can say that she doesn't look much like the girl of S Express ... So I don't think they're the same person ...the mistery continues...:)))

  • Could she be Linda Love ? Mark talks about her in an interview .... The two black singers should be Chilo (the tall one) and Michelle Ndrika ...

  • 2:30 is hit tune! this guys have been before us into the music

  • Yeh the guy at 1:30!! LMFAO!! Looks like my old a-level business studies teacher!!

  • i do not like u tube because the sound is waste. but here at this video for first time i can hear real high tones. tweeters. i am posting this because in 88 i didn't have any equipment.

  • im useing this song in warrington stage coach for a performance yay love it soo much!!

  • This...is...very funny!!!!!!!!!!

    Cool!

  • haha, I remember this song from an old retro show on TV. Is the music even being played live? Some of the synth work actually looks real. I'm guessing the trumpets/girls are just there to make it look flashy?

  • 1988 was one of the best years of the 80's for music

personally its my fave year of the 80's for music!

  • 88 was the year of the House music Boom

and nothing has been the same!

I heard, dance and loved all this music period,

we were like pioneers of a totally new way of party with a new phenomenon exploding all over the country with no barriers or limits of any kind

We made history while others just watched or 'heard' about the second summer of love the following year

  • Best dance song ever!! Love the 80s!

  • innit27: It's the "Top of the Pops" show. Every band is forced to do playback, even if they could play their song live easily.

  • Not true, some bands have insisted playing live on TOTP. Its not even a real trumpet sound he is miming to, its a noise created by a synth. I hate it when they hire models to pretend to play instruments. Having the talent to play an instrument is no longer needed to get on telly.

  • Always a bit awkward miming to samples.

The guy in the crowd dancing at 1.30 in white shirt and tie sort of ruins the coolness of it ahahaha.

  • grazie

  • great

  • thank you!!
