i like how this sounds absolutely nothin like kiss most people from other bands that go solo for example rob halfords band halford sounded alot like priest this sounds nothin like kiss i love kiss but this is really good
Thank you SO much for posting this ... i've only been a fan for a few months but love this late 80's rock sound; very nostalgic and it makes me more aware of Ace's wasted potential and immense talent. Amazing. Love this ... thanks again. x
Russ Ballard wrote this song. Its probably one of Aces best vocal performances.When ever Ace teamed up with Eddie Kramer it was magic ! Had this "tape" in 87 at the ripe ol age of 15. Good memories !
Was this song used in a Miami Vice episode? I swear it was. If it wasn't, it should have been. It's very good. I heard it on XM's Boneyard the other day and looked it up here.
What I love about this song/video (beside the great music) is the positive view of the future – that even a trash person can rise and become somebody. This song/video shows how great Ace is – he is the best – and that is why Gene Simmons hates Ace and tries to trick Ace of his money and his good name.
i loled hard at when he picked up that tramp at the end xD you just wouldnt do that and put your arms around it xDD But Ace it looking Sexy though man!
i had the honor to be personal security for bassist john regan many years back great guy and i hope to meet mr frehley before i die one of my favorite guitarists ever
actually this is a cover of russ ballard ( the same guy that wrote new york groove ( for the one's who doen't know those two songs are covers) but anyway the original people recorded it ... ace made them better ^^ ace <3 its the f*ckin master
ANYONE SEE THAT AMERICAN fLAG BURNING JOKING, YOU HAVE TO LOVE ACE FREHLEY .. NOW I HAVE RESPECT FOR THAT MAN, AND LOVE HIS GUITAR , HE SOBERED UP 2 :)
I love this video. It's about time someone puts this video on here. This was the best song off the debut of Frehley's Comet. Ace hits notes on his guitar that still can't be rivaled by any guitarist.
@van76 Never read that one ,still it may be true. I know while he was doing the add he said he like it lol but then again $ money makes us all like things,I know he grew to hate the whammy bar he had put on his Les Paul & "Ripped it out ((*_*))
This is such a great song! Let's face it, Ace Frehley is part of our American national heritage and he defined Kiss! He made me want to take up a guitar and play it loud!
@KMZiggyStardust Judging from your age, you missed out on the impact of the original four. I still have my original Kiss albums from the Casablanca years. I saw them as they made history and broke every rule. I went to the concerts of the 1970s. The Reunion! Ace Frehley made the Gibson Les Paul a household name. Ace made hundreds of thousands take up a guitar. Ace's solo album out sold the others. Ace has his own signature series Les Paul. Tommy Thayer performs as Ace! No Ace, no Kiss!
@pointyguitarz so true, like elvis, hendrix, im gratefull i grew up listening to ace as a kid.true he wasnt a master musician, but he was real a magician .......and still is i love anomoly ace is ageless one of a kind
Used to think he said "Strange as meat" lmao.

@Chevelles4ever - Except that this isn't his...it's Russ Ballard's, who also wrote Frida's "There's Something Going On"

some of the actually good music from the 80's - lots of great party type of hairbands but very little substance - Ace's tunes were the exception.

Besides being known for being in KISS and a great lead guitarist, Ace is also good at covering songs memorably.
