OK! The reason she doesn't sing live alot is one because of dancing, and 2 because her voice isn't meant for Pop. She herself said she wanted to sing like Sheryl Crow. What it is is her record label wanted to give her that baby voice that you hear in oops i did it again. Its not that she can't sing, its that she is singing out of her vocal range. She has a natural deeper singing voice
Britney does it all ... singing dancing, and she puts on a good show. She is not my favorite vocalist but she has the entire package. She is a talented singer nonetheless but her focus is more on her performing. There's nothing wrong with that but I see her more as an entertainer than a vocalist. But, especially after seeing this. I definitely recognize that she has a good voice.

Britney has a decent voice, and that's enough for the type of music that she does. She used to be a good performer because she seemed like she was enjoying herself. Now, it seems like she's sick of it and it's just a job, not something she wants to do anymore. And I'm not saying that's a bad thing, I'm just saying that once it gets to the point where the performer doesn't want to do what they're doing, they should just stop, at least for a while.

I do not understand why the first two songs were used to justify her vocal talent. Those were TERRIBLE. The next two, on the other hand, were pretty good. But the first couple and several later in the video were so nasally.... I just cannot understand how that can justify a "good voice."

she had a good voice when she was young. after her public melt down, everything took its toll on her. Its still with her. she has lost her confidence. Because today, her dancing routines arent even what they were. It's sad, cos she has a great career but she's only a brand now. even her family sold her out for money. The record label didnt make her change her vocal her vocal would have been changed in the studio, edited to make her sound like a chipmunk if you ask me.
Her voice may be unique, but not in a good way. She makes such strange noises while singing. Sometimes she sounds just like a bike ratchet ( 0:19 - 0:27 - 1:31 - 2:54 ). She does that in just about any verse and it makes me cringe. At other times she sounds like Donald Duck ( 1:17 - 4:21 ). Overall she sings as though her nose is permanently congested. It's understandable why she quit singing live altogether. To put it simply: unique doesn't mean good.

I watched this so I could listen to her live and see if she could sing (sometimes radio doesn't pain the right picture.) And I'm sorry to say, she can't sing. Holding a tune does not make one a good singer. And for the people saying she can sing but has to dance and is out of breath, that's no excuse. I can name singers who sing perfectly withOUT lip synching who dance and move around on stage constantly. You might like her, but you have to understand that doesn't make her a great singer.

First off she has talent, she can sing both high and low pitches. The ONLY reason why you see her lip sync in her concerts is because of the dancing. It's impossible to sing and dance while staying in perfect tune. You would be out so out of breath. That's why she lip syncs. Other than that she can sing very well.

I do not understand why the first two songs were used to justify her vocal talent. Those were TERRIBLE. The next two, on the other hand, were pretty good. But the first couple and several later in the video were so nasally.... I just cannot understand how that can justify a "good voice."

some of these shes singing and some of them i doubt shes singing...but either way....firs thing: you can tell that shes actually TRYING in these....but when you go to see her in her tours....it seems ever so effortless....and b: i think i prefer the recorded voice over the actual voice because its a little rocky :T

she had a good voice when she was young. after her public melt down, everything took its toll on her. Its still with her. she has lost her confidence. Because today, her dancing routines arent even what they were. It's sad, cos she has a great career but she's only a brand now. even her family sold her out for money. The record label didnt make her change her vocal her vocal would have been changed in the studio, edited to make her sound like a chipmunk if you ask me.

Her voice may be unique, but not in a good way. She makes such strange noises while singing. Sometimes she sounds just like a bike ratchet ( 0:19 - 0:27 - 1:31 - 2:54 ). She does that in just about any verse and it makes me cringe. At other times she sounds like Donald Duck ( 1:17 - 4:21 ). Overall she sings as though her nose is permanently congested. It's understandable why she quit singing live altogether. To put it simply: unique doesn't mean good.

I watched this so I could listen to her live and see if she could sing (sometimes radio doesn't pain the right picture.) And I'm sorry to say, she can't sing. Holding a tune does not make one a good singer. And for the people saying she can sing but has to dance and is out of breath, that's no excuse. I can name singers who sing perfectly withOUT lip synching who dance and move around on stage constantly. You might like her, but you have to understand that doesn't make her a great singer.

But just because I'm a fan it doesn't mean I'll lie to myself and say they are better than they are. i am a chirstina fan for sure, but the only reason you all think she sounds better is cuz she does all her dancing and when she catches her breath belts out a few lyrics. their all dancer/singers. they all have music in the background so they can focus more on dancing then worry about whether they stay in pitch or not. britney sings just as well, don't be thinking you can sing perfectly in pitch while doing all the crazy dance moves at the same time! :) that is all

I just want too sort something out here before people say she can't sing.
First off she has talent, she can sing both high and low pitches. The ONLY reason why you see her lip sync in her concerts is because of the dancing. It's impossible to sing and dance while staying in perfect tune. You would be out so out of breath. That's why she lip syncs. Other than that she can sing very well.

Singing is about having "the gift" and Britney has it. It's not really about knowing hot to sing or hit the right notes, or having the best voice.
A person could sing average, and another person could sing just the same, but if that person has "the gift", then that person will blow you away, even dough they didn't do anything diffident.
