  • Whats the difference between UD3P and UD5? =/

  • @leunghkj different models, generally in gigabytes case the higher the number the better and more expensive the board, ud3=lowest model and cheapest, ud5=higher, ud7=even higher, ud9=highest, most expensive, most features

  • @gigabot183 Thanks man :)

  • want a MB to go with my I5 2500k

GIGABYTE Z68 Z68X-UD5-B3 or ASROCK Z68 EXTREME3 GEN3 or maybe some other board you can think up

  • @mentor55555 Z68X-UD5-B3

  • @mentor55555 Z68X-UD5-B3

  • this motherboard supports 1.5V RAM but will 1.65V RAM still work?:)

  • does it support intel core I-3 ,

  • @dara7naca10 it does but only i3-21xx series (LGA 1155)

  • can anyone tell me if the z68x-ud7-b3 supports the ivy bridge processors?if not,can some one tell me a board that does(apart from gigabyte)?THANK YOU

  • @Theairplaneguy4ever YES! it does since the ivy bridge CPU's are based on the 1155 socket which is the one used on my motherboard ;) and i dont think intel will change their minds about this in the near future :P

  • @galaxiesaver but ivy bridge has a pci-e 3.0 controller,so shouldnt this mobo have a pci-e 3.0 slot?

  • @Theairplaneguy4ever sry if what i said isnt true mate, i just heard that in multiple sites/videos and it seems plausible that it might work, but in the end im not quite sure. however, i figure , that some might work and others wont (obviously) sry for the wrong info if thats the case :)

  • @galaxiesaver i think that there is some bios update available that supports ivy bridge even without pci-e 3.0,but i went with a maximus IV gene-z saved the money and plan to SLi my gtx 560 ti hawk

  • @Theairplaneguy4ever very nice. asus makes top notch mobos too. btw, are u kiddin me or are you also plannning on getting 560 ti hawks in sli? because i planned on doing the same :D where talkin about MSI cards right? :D

  • @galaxiesaver yea want to get another gtx 560 ti hawk twin frozer 3 from msi, using a maximus IV gene-z ,so i think they may overheat.wuts ur specs?

  • @Theairplaneguy4ever i think i expressed myself a bit wrong. im planning on getting a completely new ystem with these cards looking something like this: Gigabyte Z68 UD5, i7 2600k , GTX 560 ti hawk (x2 if enough money), 8 gigs RAM etc....... im kind of ashamed of telling my current specs :P *GT140, E7400, 1TB HDD 4gigs ram...etc*

  • @galaxiesaver ashamed?i owned a 9600gt,im proud of it,cause it can still play some games with 30fps.i suggest though u go for a single gtx 580,that way u have much more expandability and get an SSD,i have 60gb agility 3 ssd.im waiting for my copy of windows 7 home premium.will get it by the next two days.so then i cany start gaming.ps:wuts ur case?

  • @Theairplaneguy4ever well the gt 140 is the 8600gt with a different name^^. i realy dont know because two gtx 560 ti are more powerfull then a single gtx 580 for the same price.i dont plan on investing on two gtx 580's tbh. im planning on getting the NZXT M59 provided the parts fit. btw did u know the GTX 560 ti HAwk is as powerfull as a reference GTX 570?

  • @galaxiesaver two gtx 560 ti hawks beat a single gtx 580.but.........u could get another 560 and run it as a dedicated physix card.more performance.as for the case, its alright but u could get somethin like a corsair 500r or cm elite 430.or a haf 912.and be sure to get an SSD.

  • @Theairplaneguy4ever yeah i can tell you for sure that a single GTX 560 Ti is WAY to expensive to only use as a physX card for me personally and i think its a bit of a waste^^ and yeah, alot of people are split sides about an SSD saying that it isnt realy worth it and most people i ask will tell me that it isnt worth the money (yet) since it is still relatively new to the market and the prices are very constant/stable for SSD's. It is new in the way that it is a completely new

  • idea and design. its not like a GPU for example that excists since the 80's and 90's but it only realy reached the marktet within the last 4 or 5 years. And to the case: i honestly is my case of choice due to the cool design :D

  • I'm also in the market for this board or a board like this so I'm hoping for some clarification on my queries.

  • I'm wondering if those 4 USB ports on the back are actually 3.0 instead of 2.0 since all the boards I've seen so far denote the 3.0 spec by coloring them blue. Also by comparing the color of the 3x usb 2.0 to the header on the board I wonder if it is 3x power. Normally for Paul I'd just let this slide but I wanted to give him a heads-up since I enjoy his reviews. I honestly feel like he knows what he's doing, as opposed to most reviewers online. Thanks Newegg for feeding my tech habit. cheers.

  • Is this the best board out there???

  • hey guys :) just a little question.. should i buy a p67 b3 board or a z68 board??

  • we got 5 years here in scandinavia

  • fuck i pay 50$ more for the z68XP-UD5 and the board is the same BUT JUST HAS A HDMI cable that suck

  • @GStackIZCrack that board have port hdmi, is better when don't work you video card :D

  • @Stacklucker

..and who the fuck are you? I've already gotten the help I need anyway. And it pissed me off when some asshole that doesn't even know me calls me..names? Wanker..lol. You don't to help me? Don't fucking comment. Fuck you very much.

Lol, get the hell out of here ya prick.

  • Mother fucker.

Today, I've decided to switch from Xbox 360 to PC, and I tell ya, today I was in my chair...the whole day. Mother fucker. I was in my chair the whole day because I was on my 2007 PC, gathering the stuff I need to build a very good gaming PC...it is expensive...no wonder why PC guys are so angry all the time.

So far I have on my list:

GPU, CPU, PSU, RAM, Cooling System, Motherboard, Case, Hard drive..

someone please help me, tell me what else I need.

  • @vjdsjgc shut up wanker , nobody will help you when you begin your comment with mother fucker. Whats your problem? I mean, your question is ok, but I wont answer it.

  • r u mad?

  • cracks me up how the AMD(ati) logo is on the bottom right in the smallest print.lol

  • i dont understand why the ud4 (a lower model) has 2 more sata 3 ports =|

  • can i mount a cooler master v10 in this motherboard???

  • @Meden042 Sry for late reply...Yes you can i have one on my UD7 version of this board. I recomment you take the board out first and install the v10 upside down on it thou, as its alittle bit of a pain in the arse.

  • is these replaceing x58 boards ?

  • Does Z68 xhipset support overclock like the P67?

  • What it comes with instructions can't i buy it without so it can be cheaper

  • should i get this or the Z68X-UD4-B3??? im a gamer :)

  • @thekikoman1 This one you noob.

  • @tachi203 why ? is it worth + 100$ i dont wana overclock to much maybe 4 GHz

  • @thekikoman1 duuuuudddeeee... beter quality board, Has "teaming" support aka dual RJ45 ports, "Tri" SLI/CrossF!!...Not crappy dual SLI/CrossF......A shit load more SATA ports.....TRUE 24 Phase Power Design, Not shitty 20 phase.....An d you get the "OverVoltage Control IC" for the best overclocking and stability.......... Simply put...This is the board you should get regardless, do not el-cheapo on the UD5.!!!!!

  • @thekikoman1 O I am talking about the UD7..not this one sry....do not buy this one or the UD4....end of story.

  • @tachi203 the ud7 is to expensive i cant aford it :( what do u think i should buy ?

  • @thekikoman1 What Currency and how much are you willing to spend? Ill see what I can find.

  • @tachi203 i dont wana spend more then 250$ on a motherboard . thx for your help :D btw i heard the asus P8Z68-V PRO is a good board but i didnt want it to get messy with the virtu shit ...

  • @thekikoman1 Just go for the UD4, after looking at the specs its better value than a UD5 of its between the 2.

  • @thekikoman1 does the z68 support overclock at the cpu? like the p67??

  • @12BioHazardDK12 yea :)

  • Using a tower or a top blower cooler? I got front to back airflow.

  • is it just me or that board has no video output port? then whats the point of z68 over p67? just intel's new SSD caching gimic?

  • @SepSama That and quick sync

  • @SepSama Yes, but its not a gimic...it actualy works. Surprisingly well lol.

  • Nice video.

  • I find it weird when reviewers keep saying 32gb, you really can't, given that nonECC and unbuffered 8gb modules don't exist.

  • My penis is huge. add me

  • apple tv giveaway try your luck , thanks

  • should i get z68 or p67?

  • In short, the Z68 has the capabilities of the P67 OC and video support for H67.

    More performance for overclock

    Multi GPU Support (CF-SLI)

hey Newegg i need link for buy :D

  • Intel keeps releasing these 67 and now 68 chipsets....damn how many time do they want people to change their systems..

  • @keiki646

I know some people are working like a charm even today with their Pentium 4, 3 GHz, HT processors. They churn the Linus Kernel code, run VMs, do simulations, heavy x264 encoding and so on. Point is no need to change/upgrade your PCs driven my so-called "Peer Pressure" madness :) It's simple. You know how much you could eat, isn't it? Similarly, you know about your PC pros/cons so use your wisdom to plan your investment. Alright, for today's demands, P55/i7-870 is more than enough :)

  • whats up with all the intel boards? How bout some AMD boards? Good reviews but lets mix it up a bit. Keep up the good work Paul!

  • are you going to unbox z68-ud7?

  • YES!!!!!!!!!! Finaly!!!!

  • whats the difference between p67 and z68?

  • @murkleman6 He's telling you in the damn video!

  • Is there an UD7?

  • @ClubbySuperCharged it will probably be released later if they didn't stop production of UD7 models all together

  • Comment removed

  • I like the part where he didn't mention the advantages of the z68 chipset.

  • literally just found out about z68, i always find out late =\

but when i first heard of it, i thought it would be the upgrade to x58, like the p67 is to the p55, but its still on the 1155 exactly whats the advantage to these?

  • @XmortdreadX It's basically a combination of the H67's integrated GPU and Quick Sync and the P67's Overclocking feature.

  • @XmortdreadX ivy bridge is comming next year

  • @madebarriere damn... that sucks, well thanks

  • so sad u wanted a motherboad which support intel quick syinc as well external graph card... sadly this is not it... any other chip-set gonna come out?

  • Am I the only one who cannot wait for Bulldozer? :)

Just want to make a new Bulldozer build, maybe with a new AMD video card (or a old when that has gone down in price.)

  • so whats the different between the p67 and z68 chipset??

  • @cssLAERMcss

    Search Google.

  • WHY are there only two RAM slots?

  • @Magmacano it has two

  • @Magmacano There are 4...

  • @Magmacano

Two is more than enough for 95% of the folks out there (2x4GB = 8GB it a lots!!).

  • @akula2shark I'd like more...Since I'm a fan of RAMdisks :)

  • @SimmanGodz

Even I use more such as 16GB ones (4 x4GB - CMZ16GX3M4A1600C9B) on my latest Asus P8P67 WS Revolution B3 board because I know what am supposed to do with so that RAM. And, not to mention my 2GB Graphics memory (use it mainly for Eyefinity mode, powering 3 x 27" LCDs). Point was, most users who run a single OS don't need beyond 4 GB good RAM. Hope am understood :)

  • And to think it has been 10 years since the last release of faster processors... any bets if we will go any higher?

  • NO THUNDERBOLT!!!???

  • Z68 pwm the P68

  • @manutube8080 you mean p67? noob

  • @qw3rtyui0p250 yeah that, i was sleepy semifinals tomorrow lol

  • Lol, sounds like he said sogget, instead of socket at 9:57.

  • i wonder wholl buy p67 mobos now that these are out

  • Cool :D, but the MSI Z68A-GD80 (B3) motherboard supports onboard Graphics, but it depends on the CPU, also I'm Curious how much FPS will the i7 2600K will get

  • damn just bought my p67.......

  • @TheLif3Project I did too... Damn technology.

  • 10:13 "Mr. Lam" as in Ken Lam? the vice chairman of the board of Newegg Inc? damn this dude has some high up friends...

  • @KlingonSpider Yawnnnnnnnnnnn

  • @KlingonSpider Sorry, just Lam =)

  • @newegg Damn Paul let them think you have some high elite friends ;)!

  • @KlingonSpider Id suck him off for some parts anyday.

  • i guess after this they will have to chane to a68 chipset because theres no more letters left for them to use

  • atlast a sandy-bridge board that not only allows you to overclock but also use the onboard graphics, not that i will use them much since i will most likely will leave most of my graphics load to my graphics card. but when i am not gaming, this is what i wanted.

kinda late specially since Bulldozer is just arround the corner and Sandy-Bridge is also having a very small lifespan, and the recall fiasco has only helped to shorten that chipset's lifespan.

cheers intell too little too late!

  • @EpiphonicMedia not rare anymore

  • I like the new hard drive pairing feature. Only one 16x pcie lane? My AMD crosshair IV can do two. AMD chipsets are nice. Can't wait for the new bulldozer :).

  • what? no video output? no dvi?!

  • @lpjz290 no, these high end chipsets dont support onboard audio, because, obviously, anyone buying a motherboard like this, will be buying a graphics card :)

  • @LittleBigR1 you mean video?

  • @Zraupp10 yea, i was typing too fast for my own good xD

  • @lpjz290 People buying this board most likely aren't going to be using onboard video... Just saying.

  • @SSchevyLT1 it's not that. i mean, what if your card gets fried? even a small vga port would be useful.

  • @lpjz290 onboard video*** sorry xDD

  • z68 sounds cool.

  • crap 4th

  • 2nd

  • Is Youtube slow for anyone else right now?

  • @getlow1985 was for me yesterday and today :(

  • do it, do it.
