Let me start out this by saying that I am Atheist. And I know that the song is written about having faith in God. I just want everyone to know that this song is still quite emotional for me. When he says "You are, everything that I live for", I do not get images of Jesus Christ, or the Lord God. I get images of my beloved girlfriend of 4 years, my mom and dad. My brother in law and sister, my nephew and my late grandpa. They are everything that I live for. this song is so inspiring.

The universe did start out as a atom then doubled and doubled and double and after billions of years it is now what we call an ever expanding universe that expands at the speed of light. Ok. That is fact. But, HOW (how did the universe suddenly start to expand) it started is by God (let there be light). So boom, debate settled.

I don't believe the big bang happened in quite the way you described, but regardless; you can't just simply say that God did it. All you did was create a story to fill in an unanswered question. @nickmorrison111 When he said 'Let there be light', he did not refer to our Sun. It referred to the expansion (and start) of what we call the universe. As scientists have depicted it, it started off by a blast of light. So boom, scientific laws (theory now) corresponds to what God did.

However; I believe it was around the 1600s, someone started using people incorrectly, and it gained popularity, and eventually became common to use people as a plural for person. It happens all the time in English. While it is acceptable to say people as a plural for person in our society; it is still not proper grammar.

@thersman1111 How does the cell being complex disprove the theory of evolution? A complex cell only helps to show that nature is at work; not the supernatural. Darwin said that certain things would disprove his theory, but we have found NOTHING that disproves his theory. The bacterial flagelum also proves nature; not the supernatural, and we know how they evolved. Yet; there is still no evidence for God.

@thersman1111 Complexity arising from simplicity is how evolution works. Life didn't just begin as complex as the way you're tying to make it sound. It started with atomic particles taking billions of years to form the tiniest and simplest life. And yes; scientists already debunked the flagellum a long time ago; not only explaining how it evolved, but they even took away 90% of its parts, and it functioned just fine. Evolution wins.
@CoDMW2P96 No; they can't, and that's the point. Humans didn't evolve full "parts" like the way you think they did. Everything was very gradual and they all served certain purposes before they became what they are today. Evolutionary theory explains this very well, and that is why the flagellum idea fails.
@nickmorrison111 the parts of the flegelum motor had to evolve from somewhere if evolution was real. The only problem is that they cant prove the parts ever evolved from anything. Without the motor cells would just sit around and not move. Most all cells would then just die off and people wouldnt be real. So if life did start with gas how did the flagelum motor start? IF you notice alot of biblical prophecies are coming true slowly but surely in order. At least those can be proven...

Besides, if the Bible could currently be proved in every way then humans would not have a choice except to accept it, which would not be giving us free will like he wants us to have. About 30% of all scientists are Christian, and 95% of them acknowledge that evolution is a fact. As for evidence; I want God to come to Earth and show us that he is God. Perofrm miracles. Show us Heaven. Give us answers to secret knowledge. He can't do this though because he isn't actually real.

However; I believe it was around the 1600s, someone started using people incorrectly, and it gained popularity, and eventually became common to use people as a plural for person. It happens all the time in English. While it is acceptable to say people as a plural for person in our society; it is still not proper grammar.

Darwin said that certain things would disprove his theory, but we have found NOTHING that disproves his theory. The bacterial flagelum also proves nature; not the supernatural, and we know how they evolved. Yet; there is still no evidence for God.

Everything was very gradual and they all served certain purposes before they became what they are today. Evolutionary theory explains this very well, and that is why the flagellum idea fails.

@nickmorrison111 the parts of the flegelum motor had to evolve from somewhere if evolution was real. The only problem is that they cant prove the parts ever evolved from anything. Without the motor cells would just sit around and not move. Most all cells would then just die off and people wouldnt be real. So if life did start with gas how did the flagelum motor start? IF you notice alot of biblical prophecies are coming true slowly but surely in order. At least those can be proven...

@nickmorrison111 Christianity is not about proving anything. I know and believe that God is real and loves us, and thats enough for me. Besides, if the Bible could currently be proved in every way then humans would not have a choice except to accept it, which would not be giving us free will like he wants us to have. Christianity is about FAITH, nothing else and nothing more. And I know that when the day comes, my father will be there to greet me in heaven.

@mcwill0498 @mcwill0498 That's fine, but if Christianity can't be proved, or at least supported by evidence; then there's no reason to believe in it. Knowing the Bible to be true wouldn't take away free will; it would simply be giving persons the truth. When it comes to concepts such as Hell; God shouldn't be hiding the truth from his people. Only an evil person would do that. If Christianity is only about faith; then there is no reason to believe Christianity over any other religion.

@nickmorrison111 God isnt hiding truths about hell; rather, he tells us them in the bible. There are plenty ways Christianity can be proved, but I don't want to say any on here because I'll end up looking stupid when you go all sciencey on me. If you want, look it up where Christian scientists can explain it instead of a 14 year old kid...And why are you listening to Christian songs if you are so opposed to Christianity?

@mcwill0498 Telling us things in a book while hiding the real phenomena from us does nothing to help us know about or understand Hell. What you just said here also means that Zeus and Apollo of Greek Mythology aren't hiding anything about the afterlife in that religion because they wrote it down. We need real evidence. Christian scientists helped prove evolution; actually going against their religion; so they're not going to help you.

They did some real good research, but made some big fails too, but they HIDE it for the big-critical-world. And if christian scientists are helping to prove evolution, than they're not real christians. About real evidence. What do you want? Do you want to see God? @LoveTheKingofKings God doesn't love anyone. Evolutionary theory actually succeeds everyday. They did some real good research, and succeeded in discovering that evolution is a fact. About 30% of all scientists are Christian, and 95% of them acknowledge that evolution is a fact. As for evidence; I want God to come to Earth and show us that he is God. Perofrm miracles. Show us Heaven. Give us answers to secret knowledge. He can't do this though because he isn't actually real.

What you are basically saying here is that it is okay to just believe in whatever you want, because if you're going to just first start believing in something; then you already believe. You have to figure out the differents between the religions. If you dont know them... Don't say anything about it anymore. About evolution. How can nothing explode? It's not a fact. Check this vid. @LoveTheKingofKings And you are VERY misinformed about evolution. First of all; evolution has nothing to do with the origin of the universe; nor the origin of life. Evolution is the changing of life forms through reproduction. And yes; it's a proved fact. As for nothing exploding; you're talking about the big bang, and this theory NEVER states that nothing exploded. There was already something before the big bang happened. Further more; it wasn't an explosion. Please educate yourself.

If the big bang was later proved to be untrue; evolution is still true. If you say otherwise; you're uneducated.
