  • I miss this Metallica... :{

  • wasnt this album released in 1984.........dont be rude, im just saying, maybe this wasnt in 1983....

  • how are some of U guys so ignorant? Of course this is a pre-finalized version of the song! Metallica has likely the most available and documented live recordings of any '80 era band, yet people talk shit and make ignorant statements. A few key clicks can get you to the truth.

  • mtaygoldin you sound like a dumb bitch that is obviously not a musician, so please, shut the fuck up

  • Kickass SETLIST!

  • As soon as Cliff and Kirk joined the band, they improved 10 fold. Unbelievable!

I love the story behind the title of the song as well. ;-)

  • @ColdHeartedMan1979 like the only other person i know who knows it, is you

  • @BLACKHARLET1 :-)

  • @BLACKHARLET1 but you don't really know him.

  • @MrBobSolo spiritually

  • I'm pretty sure my dad went to this show O.o

  • 2:18 james:"MUCHO FALLA"

  • @jorgevalllllllll jajajajja cieerto XD

  • @revencore999 Estaba boracho lol xD

  • When Metallica were good!!!

  • @karlcos metallica is better day after day , punk !

  • @Zuckloadlo45 Fail Metallica are getting worse day after day from Kill Em All now they have albums like Re-Load Lulu and Beyond Magnetic

  • @LuciferEsMiDios Death Magnetic was a great album. Lulu did suck, but that was Lou Reed FEATURING Metallica, not their album.

If you honestly think Magnetic was a bad album, you obviously are either a troll or not a true Metal fan, because it was metal.

  • @WAFFELS24 I said Beyond Magnetic not Death Magnetic, learn how to read

  • @mtaygoldin and yet they make more money than you :)

  • @mtaygoldin No. They aren't amateurs. You still need a level of skill to play Metallica songs. They aren't as good as plenty of guys, but they aren't amateur. Amateur is Nirvana. That takes little effort to play or write.

  • @Bassbait i am not a huge nirvana fan and i understand their tunes are simple to play, but if they are so damn easy to write then where is your nevermind?

  • @MrBobSolo I'll get it done eventually... ah nevermind!

  • @mtaygoldin nah you're just stupid i don't see you playing dyers eve on drums or ride the lightning solo on guitar

  • i mean its not uncommon for bands to play songs b4 they record them. iron maiden played El Dorado for 6 months almost every show til it was released in july 2010 so dont get all pissy if it was released in 84

  • WTF happened at 2:46?

  • @xADE96x security probably walking pass, lol

  • this is where the song played abusivlay on conserts started

  • WHY ARE YOU FUCKING SPAMMING MEN???

THE SONG YES WAS RELEASED ON 1984 BUT THEY HAD WROTE IT ON 1983 AND THEY FUCKING PLAYED IT ON THEY'RE FUCKING LIVE ON 1983

    PFFFF FAIL :P Wake up???!!!

  • @marcodarrell se nota k recien estay aprendiendo de metallica, como tambien han tocado disposable heroes en el 85

  • James doesn't know how to sing yet at this point, but he's still awesome here.

  • creeping death se creo en el 1984 xD

  • @K22593 Pero eso es una demo que fue del album creeping death con 2 covers mas que son Blitzkrieg y Am I evil

  • what the fuck ? creeping deth es de 1984 no 1983

  • Damn James voice's is fucking awesome at 83

  • pure METAL

  • 1983 ? creeping death 1984's song

  • @kaLibre1907 This album is of 1984, the music is of 1983...

  • @kaLibre1907 They were premiereing it.

  • 6:06 Evil !

  • esta madre fue en el 83 y el disco ke incluia esta cancion es del 84 D:

  • damn this sounds so good for the 1983 ;o

  • @Mcdouglas1984 Never debated that, hence why I said they can play unreleased song(forgot the s)...

  • @melly12123 They're allowed to play unreleased song :P

  • @DeathMetalorgetjized Record labels wouldn't even sign these guys... They were on their own for a while, and could play whatever the fuck they wanted.

  • sounds like KISS guitars

  • How is this in 1983? Ride the lightning didn't get released until 84..

  • @melly12123 - Almost all of the songs from Kill 'em All (1983) were played live in San Francisco in 1982 before that album was released.

  • @melly12123 They wrote Creep in the summer of 83. Recorded the demo in september and recorded the original in the spring of 84. Nothing unusual about bands playing new songs before recording them...

  • @Docteur666 ahh alright yeah i know, i was just kinda confused that day haha, no worries man

  • @Docteur666 Yeah, totally Set the World Afire is Megadeth's second song, and was played live in 1984, and was actually released in 1988

  • @Benny93RoCKeR He always sounds pissed xD

  • According to Kirk, this was an Exodus song---interesting coincidence?

  • @brengf Only the middle riff (Die by my hand etc) was a part of an Exodus song.

  • @HassleThaHoff kirk made exodus so it doesnt mater cuz he made that riff up anyway

  • @HassleThaHoff what song?

  • @WhiplashThrashMaster it's called "die by his hand" on the demo. look for it here on youtube.

  • thats awkward because ride was released in 1984...

  • @dwambyman You ever thought that they could have wrote and performed this song before it was released.

  • @Abyssvx They played disposables heroes in 1985 when master of puppets came out in 1986.

  • @shiftyhaze yeah... I like that performance.

  • @Abyssvx You can hear that the song wasn't optimized for recording yet. Music and lyrics wise.. Great stuff duder! thanks for posting.

  • Alchoholica live and in concert.

  • this is horrid, lol....

  • @TopRamenKickAss <-- Clearly not a real thrasher.

  • @skiiddo no dude, it sucks bad. James vocals are crap here. And overall the band just sounds like crap here. You clearly don't know what you're talking about. Ur mom.

  • @skiiddo no dude, it sucks bad. James vocals are crap here. And overall the band just sounds like crap here. You clearly don't know what you're talking about. Ur mom.

  • @TopRamenKickAss ..its thrash metal....this is what its meant to be like ...

  • is it just me or does it seem like lars with long hair and a beard and sometimes look like jesus?

  • @AmNaNyA628 he is my jesus i can tell you that..

  • @Invisonable but they did have demos of ride the lighting in 1983... Just like they played Devils dance in 1995 but didnt get released until 1997 when reload came out

  • @Invisonable thumbs down, do you honestly think that its impossible for them to have written this song in late 1983? thats why he says its a "new" one because the album had not yet been "realised"

  • @Invisonable

Ride the Lightning (the song) was seposed to be on Kill Em' All...

  • Creeping death wasnt released until 1984.

  • @RainingBlood15 on the album yes but bands don't write all the songs for one album in one go, some songs are written on tour some maybe just missed out on the previous album cause they didn't think it was good enough.

  • justing bieber is way better...

  • @sudifo SHUT THE FUCK UP!!

  • @mr4METALLICA dont let him troll you dude. only eggs him on.

  • @jefffhardy lol ok

  • @sudifo Don't say that bull shit at a Metallica concert, you will most likely get shot!

  • @sudifo I like how you are trolling yourself..

  • @sudifo Not sure if trolling or just 12...

  • The part from 3.42 sounds like Slayer:D:D::D:D:D:D

  • whoa Seek and Destroy in the midle of the concert :D

  • you kknow that metallica created Ride The Lightning in 1984 :P WTH is this video?

  • @OfirVinik the album was RELEASED in 1984. You don't think that its possible they, I don't know, maybe wrote the songs before they recorded the album??

  • @VegasBilgeRat of course its possible o.O theres lots of metallica albums that they played at live before start selling the CD, but i thought Ride The Lightning album first released and then they played it live

  • @OfirVinik nobody does that....

  • @2shae1980 o.O wanna bet? T.T

  • @OfirVinik ok... maybe rihanna

  • @2shae1980 T.T u think madonna dont do that?

  • 83'?

Creeping death is from ride the lightning - 84'... wtf?

  • @ShusheHts Yes its '83 dont be comfused by the dates. They always played new songs before the new record was released. You can go to Metallica's website and download all their shows in audio from 1982 till 2003 i think for free. Do it man you will feel better :P \m/

  • @CoolKwstas123 :O!

    Thanks man that's great!

    Sorry for bad english.. :S

  • @CoolKwstas123 Yeah usually except for fade to black which they didn't play till 85, which I think is weird cause that's in my opinion one of there best songs ever...one of the best songs ever.

  • @ShusheHts the album was RELEASED in 1984. You don't think that its possible they, I don't know, maybe wrote the songs before they recorded the album??

  • @VegasBilgeRat I know... CoolKwstas123 says it to me before u.

  • James sounds much better during the Justice years.

  • @grzesznik12 they did cuz they did demos for RTL in september 83 and the cd was called 'hell freezes over' or sumert like that. they even done a live performance of disposable heroes in 85 so...

  • @tickydude no the song Call of ktulu were called When hell freezes over, but they changed it.

  • One of the best performances in my opinion

  • back when lars played the intro in time

  • Mai P33ps th3re is a difference between a song being writen and being recorded...

  • this was 1983

  • @tickydude no because creeping death is from ride the lightning from 1984. Sorry but my English is not good ;/

  • fuk kirk certainly got better as he progressed.Haha alchohol doesnt help I guess lol they sound of their face.Justice was probably the pinacle of all their skill, heaviness and speed all in one.

  • @Youowemecurry James' voice was so much more aggressive and rough between the Lightning period and the end of the Master of Puppets tour though!

  • @Youowemecurry i agree i also love justice the most ! but in that time kirk wasn't there guitarist ! it was dave mustaine !

  • @B1gbang090 stop talking bullshit

    -.-

  • @BassWolf100 If you didn't know, this isn't the live version

  • @BassWolf100 dude the song was write before released ride the lightning, and they decided to play before, AlcoholicA !! this guys makes me happy, RIP Cliff i hope to see u in the other side

  • @BassWolf100 yeh ur a dick... they played this on the tour in 83... kill em' all was made through out 81 and 82 and produced in 83, ride the lightning was made during 83 and 84 and produced in 84... thats why on the cds,(probably where u got your info from) it says Kill 'Em All 1983 and Ride The Lightning 1984!!! so get ur facts write before you type stupid shit...

  • @LightningRider15 ok i'm fuckin' sorry alright, chill the fuck out man

  • @BassWolf100 yeh my bad... but its annoying when ppl dont know their shit.. : /

  • Not 1983... In 1983 Kill 'em All has just been launched, Creeping Death is from Ride The Lightning

  • @Luuk1h Just because the album wasn't released doesn't mean they didn't write the song already. You'll find a live vid of Disposable Heroes from 1985 and MOP came out in 86.

And by the way, Ride the Lightning and Call of Kthulu were written before Kill em all was released, like in late 82, when mustaine was still in the band.

  • James sounds really drunk here! haha..

where did you get this from?

  • @Beny93RoCKeR jee i wonder why ;P

  • James' vocals SUCKED here. He sounds Asian...

  • @AVENGED1354 I think it was best in the mid to late 80s...even his early 90s vocals were good...but I like the straight up rawlness of the voice here...knowing it's going to be legand one day but has not yet got there is kinda cool....this coming from a life long metallica fan...i'm 27 and proud of it...I was born in 83 and so was metallica's career (even tho they formed in 81) so we're kinda hand in hand so to speak lol

  • @AVENGED1354 HELL NO. Dude he fucking rocked this even drunk as hell. His vocals are so raw here I fucking love it.

  • Are you sure that this gig is from 1983? :)
