i never had a plastic slinky it was always metal and then if one part stretched id' have to cut it in two then and it wasn't fun then.

@fantomfriend2 Unfortunately, you get the same problem with plastic slinkies, except that if one part stretches too far then it just breaks.

Ah... the cursed year when the rip off non-working (or at least not as good working as the metal ones) PLASTIC SLINKY!!! Please do not be fooled... even though that they come in such viberant colors... (like orange, or yellow) THEY DON'T WORK!!!!

Awesome! I remember watching this at the commercial break during the Captain Kangaroo show weekday mornings in the 70's, although I only had the original metal Slinky. Thanks for the memories!
