What really pisses me off is that whenever I fly there is no turbulence, but when I had a chance to fly and missed that opportunity their is a storm cell. And I flew at least 8-10 times in the past 6 months.

Kann auch beim Anflug auf zB. Hamburg passieren. Normalerweise klingen die Auf- und Abwinde in Bodennähe ab, deshalb ist es richtig, den Anflug bis zu niedriger Höhe zu versuchen. Es gibt aber auch Wetterlagen, wo man auch in niedriger Höhe unvorhersehbare vertikale Winde hat. Dann startet man durch. Alles richtig gemacht.

Wahnsinn, ich habe einen Bekannten der fliegt als Captain bei der TUIfly, und er sagt er hatte auch schon öfters einen Approach mit so einem Crosswind auf Rijeka gehabt. Aber echt heftig. Bin selber PPL Inhaber, aber so ne Crosswind Landung gottseidank oder leider noch nicht selbst erlebt. Da war wahrscheinlich auch noch Thermik im Spiel, das macht es noch schwieriger. Schöne Aufnahme.

yeah, I live in Rijeka and I saw few go arounds of tuifly 737 from my window... LDRI is a little hard to land due to often crosswinds... we saw here that pilots made an approach to runway 32 instead of runway 14 probably because better weather conditions...neither that didn't helped... nice video and gj to tuifly stuff... ;)

Well, after about 50 Landings on KRK/Rijeka Airport congratulations to the Tuifly Pilots (some of them very young) who handle crosswind landings under this conditions very professional. One out of 10 landings was a Bora/crosswind one for me, And much more turbulent than in this vid!!

Sometimes it worked, sometimes we ended up in Pula, Zagreb or one week before this video in Venice.....
