This video hits close to home for me. I just became a micro preemie mom on August 26th due to severe preeclampsia as well (such a horrible disease!) my little girl was born at 26 weeks and weighed 1lb 4oz. It's been really tough, but we're trying to stay positive. I hope your little girl is doing well! <3

It is a long and challenging journey, and like i said before, provide her all the interventions that you can provide medically and make sure that you let the baby know that she is loved by always being beside her as much as you can, give her the will to live because it's all upto the baby... it's hard but it is a fight I'd rather have than loosing her.

by the way, she's turning 4 this weekend Sept 10, 2010! No brain damage just need to catch up a little tiny bit. She is a very happy, very sweet, naughty little girl that she is supposed to be, who loves dora and princesses, have faith ;)

She just turned three and it was quite a journey. My advice, provide any form of intervention available. It is up to the babies if they can fight to survive all you can do is to make sure that they know how much they are loved because that's how they gain their will to live. It is hard but it's worth it. be brave.

Omg this made me cry so much! She is beautiful. My sister went threw this as well but her daughter was born at 18 weeks and did not make it! She was 4.1ozs and lived for 20 minutes. We can only think things happen for a reason:(

My wife delivered quintuplets at 28 weeks and 3 days because she had preeclapsia too and she could died if doctors don't made the babies out.

Sadly we lost 2 of them. The other 3 are really healthy childre!!!! You can watch their video here!!!

Amazing how far they come isn't it? I had my first son at 23 wks, he was 10 inches long and 14 oz. He passed away 5 days after his birth. I also had my second son prematurely at 29 weeks and he spent 2 days short of 2 months in the NICU. My son is a year old now and you would never be able to tell that he was a 2lb 2oz preemie!

I have to admit I cried.

My son, Vincent, was born at 28 weeks...he was 2 lbs 12.5 ounces...I remember how hard it was for me to be without him, but he came home after only a month and a half in the NICU....I couldn't imagine waiting as long as you did.

He too stopped breathing....he is now in Kosair Children's Hospital in Louisville, KY....They ruled out RSV, but still don't know what is wrong...he has had a few seizures and is on a ventilator.

hello tnx for your reply! yup, we are so blessed to have them. my boy didn't hve bleeding as well n luckily evrything is fine with him. he had a check up yesterday and the doctor was very happy with his development. he still can't really walk walk but can do ten steps in a go. but still needs to learn how to balance hmself. he is still small just 18lbs.. hope i can send some pics too.. chloe is such a beautiful baby! though how difficult it is, still we are lucky to experience HIs Miracle!

OO. We are from Las Vegas. She is doing well. She is 18 months, she had no bleeding in the brain when she was in NICU She wears glasses now and still learning how to eat and walk. She tries to taste food and actually likes sour and salty ones. She can do a step or two. We just have to be patient until she's ready to do all those in her own phase. We are so blessed with a very sweet and happy toddler.

She still has several specialist follow up, she still has the g-tube, still learning to swallow properly.
