awesome knife, im waiting on mine to be delivered! also on the survival card, if you do decide to wallet carry it I'd reccomend putting a clear piece of packaging tape on the back so it doesnt damage the print.

Great vid! I wondering how you did the whistle? I have the same kit. Also like your bracelets, I can do the square one but can u give me ant advice on making the reversible bracelets or the reg ones. I'm happy to see I'm not the only one that sees all the uses of parracord. If u get stranded that bracelet can help make shelter or all kinds of things. Thanks dude hope u can help.

When you are wearing this around your neck in survival / camping, and say if you get rain down or swim into a lake, etc. How would you maintain the knife? Would you first re-coil the paracord and (IF) you have a oil I guess that would work.... But it seems a lot of work. You have to be carrying around the oil. You also have to re-coil the parachord which some time it will never comes out to be the same the way you originally did it. Any thought on this?

Which neck knife is the best to carry for tactical / edc that is really comfortable to sue? I have this Ka Bar TDI, the size and weight is perfect, but not sure if it is comfortable for me... also feels cheap (China made). I wish it was Japanese blade.

It's far too small. The smallest woods knife I would ever take is 5 inches and only if it's 1/4" thick.

If you wrapped your paracord around the kydex sheath your survival tin would close! I think your instructional videos are some of the best. Keep up the good work.

I have one of those survival cards from my RC4 and then I received two of the cards from my Izula kit so I keep those extra two cards in my EDC pack.

Thanks for the review. I just got my Desert Tan Izula last night. Took it out in the forest with my dog tonight. Just cut some branches, whittled a bit and battoned through some small standing dead wood. Still shaved arm hair perfectly. This thing is a little beast. My new current favorite EDC I think.

Finally, after the 1st distributor didnt come thru, I ended up ordering thru someone else. Ordered it fri nite and got it today. I like it very, very much! Gonna make it my EDC. Now on to do some of your wrappings!

Well if you are looking for a knife to carry as an EDC neck knife then you want a knife that is small and lightweight. The Becker Necker weighs 2.4Oz not including the sheath and the Izula weighs 2.0 Oz not including the sheath. The Becker Necker has a 3.25" blade and the Izula has a 2.88" Blade. The Izula is lighter and more compact (easier to conceal than the Becker necker.) The becker necker is available in two blade steel versions and may be the better choice if you need a bigger blade.

But if blade size is not a factor and concealment is more important then you should consider the Izula or the even smaller CRKT dogfish or the even smaller CRKT RSK-Mk5. If you want a custom neck knife that will be totally unique then try the Peter Atwood's custom knives such as the Skeeter or Ghoul.

Yea the kabar has a bugger blade to handle ratio. Rather than the rat that has a smaller blade to handle. Ive noticed the diff cause the handle is a lil small on the kabar but i love the knife and you just cant break it. Im going to get the izula this month so maybe ill like it better =) The kabar is only about half an ounce more than the izula but 20 bucks cheaper! But yea again great review =)

KnifeWorks seems to have good prices. It's not gonna be a cheap knife. YCS has them for $82... but since we're boycotting them, we won't be buying from them anytime soon. KW sells for about $85, depending on the model/color you'd like.

I like the thickness too and i usually prefer flat grinds because the split wood better and they are easier to sharpen for me but it really doesn't matter what kind of grind the knife has as long as your comfortable with using it/ carrying it.
