  • it needs more ram......and bigger monitor

plus the prescott 3ghz is a big fail in this machine

    btw what's the power supply?

  • That is just way too much shit in one arcade cabinet

  • i just came

  • I would be afraid it would kill me in my sleep... I think this could kick ED-209's rump.

  • wtf... 4 Wheels and 1 little Monitor. 3 years of work for an epic fail. Thats to long. But it´s yours and when you are happy with this, than everything is ok ;)

  • Eh mate!! Theres a alien spaceship in yout living room!!!

  • Very Sexy!!!

  • is very big and has many buttons, but it's cool

  • Call it the Torture cade , where nothing is simple and more is less .

Needs more buttons though and I love the amputee chairs .

  • How many 4 player 9 fire button games do you have loaded on there? ;)

  • Super F*&^$%) Slick Man!

  • damn it, i just puked..

  • cool, hey, what control ball is that? & where can I get one? :)

  • looks like you forgot the kitchen sink.

  • ya arcade machine looks like a mech.

  • lol such a monstrosity. looks like fun.

  • the final boss of arcades

  • is like a 4 head dragon: a monster

  • omg what a monstrosity.

  • What is this monstrsosity

  • WTF? A POP-OUT KEYBOARD??? WHAT YEAR IS THIS???

  • @superpoop899 the future! ;)

  • 3 years to design half hour to build

  • @65davy Conceptualized on crack...

  • mame is cool and all but its still a pc and pc's down last try a dreamcast to jamma hookup the dreamcast is a very powerful arcade system ,but the cabinet is awsome good job

  • Next add Paperboy handlebars and the beer taps from Tapper.

While you're at it, add real beer taps.

Oh, and one of those automatic drawers better have Funyuns.

  • You have to use your hands? That's like a baby's toy.

  • BEST INVENTION EVER....

  • Why didnt you paint it?? you put in all that effort then dont paint it??

  • I can see you put TONS of work into this, it's certainly unique but I'm just not feeling it. Seems too overcrowded with stuff that I bet wont' get used much. (Really, 4 WHEELS?)

  • How are you supposed to pull off awesome hadokens whilst repeatedly smashing your man junk off of those fuck-ass steering wheels positioned conveniently at crotch level?

  • Isn't this how skynet started?

  • what mame are you using? i can only find copies that dont work :P (including the official mame, mame32, and mame64)

wierd because mame32 worked on one computer, but not on my recent ones :S

  • How long before it starts killing people

  • Nice job (: it looks a bit much but still cool :p

  • That is the coolest thing ever.

  • now THIS is how you lire kids into your home lol

  • cool arcade, but you need a new paint job. It looks sloppy.

  • needs an eject seat.. oh and drink holders.

  • that screen is way too small bro

  • the only thing this needs is designs XD

  • Take that thing into the back yard and set it on fire!

  • @zbarsky hahaha

  • I like it except for the fans and the jumbled mess of a control panel. The button layout on it's own is awful. OK, I don't like it, but I respect it. I thought I would like a versatile cabinet, but seeing this, I'll stick with my plane cab and plug and play if needed. 4 player would be nice, but usually it's only a couple of us playing. Good work.

  • OMG MY BALLS JUST DROPPED! THIS IS AMAZING!

  • You sir.....are my fucking hero of the year!!!!! That is an amazing setup for playing classic games. Can it play some of the newer arcade games as well like House of the dead, Jurassic Park 3, etc.?

  • Dude, way too much clutter...

  • Damn what a piece!!!

  • yaaa allah askına orjınalı gbı olur mu bu yha....... ama guzel emek yalan yok ;)

  • i love it but it would be really nice to play it on bigg flat screen tv ya????

  • You are the God of modding!

  • Sorry to be a dick (ok not really), but that is the most retarded control panel I have ever seen.

  • entertainment for the gods

  • What a weird place for a keyboard =)

This is sort of absurd but a masterpiece for personal accomplishment at the same time.

    Thoroughly interesting, good job!

I've been trying to make a Mame cabinet for years. EVERY time I get working on the controls for it something happens. The first time I cut it out without measurement just to do some tests. Got it working but it was ugly and WAY too big. (I'm talking HUGE).

  • pt 2.

Next time, I did the controls well but there were two parts where the buttons were too close together and the thin peice of board between them fell through making it ugly. Also, one of the buttons weren't aligned.

The third time I got a good friend and great carpenter of mine to do it RIGHT and final. We got all the measurements out, everything was exact.

Everything was done except the final cutting and the plexi cutting.

  • pt 3.

So what happened? We ran out of time. He told me he would cut it on his break the next day. I called him at work and he said he would have to do it the next day because he was really hungry. I called him the next day and he sounded like I was annoying him about it. He told me he would call ME when it was done.

Months later I'm walking around the block with my gf and he tells me he has it but he used it to test some paint and he would have to locate it in his basement.

  • pt 4. final:

I ask him about it a week later because he never tells me if he finds it. He tells me he gave it back to me months ago and "Don't I remember?"

Sigh.. I'm not sure what happened but I feel like, at this point, the dream is dead =( I don't have the cash for it anymore. I've got all the actual arcade joysticks, etc. I was going to make a four player model so that we could play XMen, NBA Jam, Turtles, Simps. Now I feel like maybe I should just do a 2 player one.

    Anyone? Suggestions?

  • @LanIost Yeah, how about calling the police?

  • @LanIost

where abouts are you from as im in plymouth if u need help i will gladly help you

dont give up on it m8 it took me years to make mine

  • The complete absurdity of it's complicated design makes it hilariously awesome! I want one just because it's over the top and crazy!

  • Awesome work. I think the people complaining aren't taking into account that the cabinet simply isn't painted. Honestly, it looks like it might need an instruction manual, but it's an awesome cabinet that looks like it could successfully play most arcade games, though I might move some components around myself.

Can you connect it to the internet and play with other mame users?

  • @TheRealAkaRai

thankyou thats a good comment in my book

and yes u can go online and play with poeple

i will make a version 2 one day as i have dismantled this beast a year ago

    i make jukeboxes now

    check out my other videos

  • I ve taken shits that look better than that

  • @cmoneyboise

but have u ever tried building something like this

just take into consideration the electronics involved

    im not microsoft

im a carpenter with a hobby

    :)

  • Ain't the steering wheels cumbersome ?

  • hahaha !

  • OMG is a really greats job =D but the tv screen must be more big xD but anyway i like a lot

  • um, this is quite impressive actually. Sh*t build me one too!

  • that shit is pimp .....

  • that is pimp .....

  • What a bullshit ...

  • fuck the haters this shit is fucking awesomei im working on one irght now, is that anormal computer screen or is it a television let me know i need help im a first time builder

  • @eddiedazle

    sorry for l8 reply m8

it is a 22" crt monitor "normal"

there is 1 major hater on here who has been spamming other forums saying my cab is a frankenstein piece of shit

    how nice of him

if only he had a cab to show off i put it down to jelousy

how are you getting on with your cab

  • congrats man, great machine, im building one and you just send me back to the drawing board. why is the 9 button layout like that? is the only part im not geting...

oh and you still have room for 4 spiners for warlords ;) keep up the good work.

  • So many buttons... and it plays games... I want one.

  • That intro music on streets of rage still gives me goosebumps.

  • That thing is awesome. Are you gonna paint/finish it?

  • Concept arcade? ..Cool, but looks useless.. 4 stering weels?, What racing game, are you going to play, 4 players simontaniusly, on a smal monitor like that?. And for what game are you going to use 9 actionbutons.....

Butt aside from that, it looks realy cool. Like the k-bord.... good luck 2 you... thumb up frome me...

  • @totobeni actually i think the original IRONMAN racing game would handle it.. but maybe it was 3 players

  • @totobeni the 4 stering wheels are cool just two or three would break the harmony. and there are games that require the multi stering weels to be played in original form (car polo has 4,hot rod has 4, sprint, a power drive clone, had 8) and if this one plays emulated videogames most of the "kart" games are fun with 4 stering wheels. the 9 action butons could be towards videogame emulation (psx controler has 8+start-select) the button layout im still trying to understad a... litle unorthodox.

  • @zeodiego2

    sorry for l8 reply

the buttons are for emulated games on the n64 mainly "MARIO KART" love it

the centre buttons are for save load and other functions

  • Dude All I Have To Say To U Is BRAVO EXCELLENT JOB ON THE ARCADE ONE OF THE BEST I HAVE EVER SEEN BRAVO MY FRIEND

  • @EnemyState1

thnkyou another good comment i get a lot of bad comments but i keep them on here i dont delete comments its not worth it

  • maybe a bit cluttered with those steering wheels, but godlike all the same. brilliant job.

  • What a waste of 3 years.......that looks fucking awfull

  • HOLY SHIT

  • thats an awesome cabinet! i love the keyboard deploy too thats intense man!

  • @gorimpich

you wont believe how long the keyboard took to make

its made from a car window mechanism

    thanx for good comment

  • Dont know why people are bashing on your arcade cab man, it looks bad ass!!! its good when you put time an effort into something and make everything work, of course not the prettiest cabinet ive seen but after a few coats of pain or varnish or stain and it would look better, what other people need to realize is that you built this with your favorite taste of games in mind, Dont listen to anyone out there man that's a Bad ass cabinet and btw to everyone who dogs this guy let me see yall do better

  • @Archvile609

    good comment well said

its easy to say bad things about something somebody makes when they havnt made anything better

p.s i had mariokart in mind surely u can see that :)

  • If you give this video a thumbs down then you have no soul and kill children. This is the best cab I've seen.

  • I've built a basic emulator cabinet just with 2 sticks. I wanted to build a larger model for my next one and this one is really impressive and has a few features that I want to include in my larger cabinet. What did you use to get the keyboard to pop in and out?

  • @ChaosTikiFilms

    hi

i used a car window mechanism and because they rely on 12vdc and a lot of it i got a 500w psu for a pc and linked the swich wire together to always stay on and powered it from that :)

  • good work fella,i can see the amount of work gone into that machine ...i tip my hat to you sir : )

  • @retrobasshead

    thankyou :)

  • wow that is the lord of all arcade machines.

  • @zaadproductions

the lord lol i love it

    chears buddy

  • This is pretty sweet. I can see why some people dont like it so much, but if i had the resources and confidence id stick it out, id build something like this around a dreamcast or something

  • That's Awesome man

  • HOLY SHIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Wow there's a lot of haters here. Must be jealous they didn't think about it first. Love the speakers coming out. I guess the only CONSTRUCTIVE criticism I would make is to make the steering wheels hideaways. Might be uncomfortable to play with your hands around a steering wheel.

  • OMG! CRAZY AWESOME!!!

  • awesome man, one day i hope to build my own cab too this gives me some ideas, although as im not a massive fan of driving games i think i wont go for them :D but either way let the haters hate cos they obviosly jealous

  • that's not a cabinet its a transformer..best ive seen yet bro. keep up the good work

  • @adamnvirgi

    fuck yea its megatron

  • Wow DUDE this is Very AWESOME good job i want to make one but i have to no money for the stuff needed Haha but when school starts ill make the cab and ill get the stuff and ill keep you posted

  • @eletricman22

yea please do keep me posted m8

if u need help let me know

  • wow man,, thats not a machine, thats a MOUNSTER MACHINE

  • From a design standpoint it's way too busy. If you broke this up into two machines I think it would be much more fun to play on. I could see those wheels getting really annoying after awhile when playing a fighter or something.

You have a lot of nice design features though. I just think it's too much for a single machine. Unless you could work out a way to conseal unused devices like the wheels and the pistols.

  • @Tapewormz

    this is a good comment

unlike the haters on here you have reason why you dislike some parts

i always say critisim is good and i am not being sarcastic

the guns always broke anyway and the wheels get in the way for a few days but u tent to adjust into a position to suit so it worked out ok :)

  • @gerble1000

If you redesign it, see if you can work out a modular design. So that the wheels would plug in, or the fighter layout stick/buttons would plug in/ or a trackball would plug in and when not in use you could store them inside the cabinet.

By modular I mean so you could just pop them into place and it would blend in almost seamlessly with the rest of the console interface. Also be really easy to pop in by using a nice mating connector that would be standard across all the controls.

  • absolutely awesome but the bare plywood and edges are making my cringe slap some moldings and paint on that!

  • @SKRIBBLE4ME

to be honest i didnt think i would finnish this so i started with scrap ply stolen from work

i intended on carpeting the hole thing black but the cat put me off of that as i did one side and then next day i had claw marks down it "fucking cat it aint a scratching post grrrr"

  • It's big that's for sure, I have a two player mame cabinet with six buttons per player and trackball that I built. I have never seen a cabinet that had almost everything on it, get a spinner and a flight stick and you will have it all ! Lots of hard work on his project, great job. If you ever get her painted post a video on that, this game has yet to reach it's potential.

  • Nice job on the cabinet! I prefer more simple controls like 6 buttons and 2 joysticks, but that is your cabinet so you can do whatever you want to it.

  • @emeryDH

you hit the nail on the head there m8

everyone would make a slightly different design so i went for a monster 1

when i first started making this i was messing with emulators the best 1 was n64 mariokart thats why so many buttons and wheels :)

  • Dont listen to the haters. Thats a beefy machine you got there. Id be proud as hell to own that thing. All the peripherals in one place. Amazing work! just add two more stations and you can play the xmen 6 player arcade.

  • I want one. Great job.

  • 8,888 GET!

  • Wow that thing is awesome, just needs some Gloss black slapping on it it it would be the ultimate machine :)

  • Thats cool!

Maybe a paint job is nice?

  • wheres the cup holder ?

  • it resembles a tank... color shape and... SIZE this thing is HUGE :D

  • lose the steering wheels and like 20 buttons and you got yourself a playable arcade.

  • that's a nice arcade

  • that looks so sexY!!

  • excellent :o

  • soo many parts so little time

  • dude I like it! would love to see this thing painted up

  • Great job I have built a game box as well but you went above and beyond great job

  • dude this is awesome do u have like a guide on how to build just a scaled down home arcade i have been looking in to building one but dont really know too much wiring

  • i love me some homemade shit

  • if optimus prime had an arcade machine it would look something like this XD

  • I'm not here to diss you, but don't you think that's a little overkill on the control panel? Other than that, nice job, I'm working on one myself but I need to save some of my money first. Got my cab, just need to clean it and buy the parts. Also, nice job on the keyboard, that had me surprised.

  • paint dat shit.

  • Great Job

  • bet you wife/girlfriend/significant other f@cking loves you

  • can you play gta 4 on it? xD upgrade more ram and overclock the processor

  • looks like one of those golf arcade games you find in chuckey cheese and other arcade like places

  • That

    Is

    Sick

  • you put way too much stuff into that thing. i wouldn't even want to have one like that. usually arcade builders think about what they like and work on making the best cabinet for that thing. this just looks like a bunch of buttons and controllers jammed higgledy-piggledy into a plank of wood.

  • Do you get a free mullet when you play

  • why isn't this on the crappy arcade cabnets list?!

  • stop the madness set it on fire befor you do one more stupit thing

  • Hey i clicked the link to watch this video.. and the first thing i could think was.. WOW!..

i think putting this vid on utube is great in return for inspiring people you get some good ideas back like fold away steering wheels excellent idea can only make what you have better,

the keybard idea is perfect, my only advice would be to update your front loader to hyperspin, and get rid o the windows boot gui etc, GREAT WORK! i look forward to seeing it finished XD ignore all the "-" feedback ;)

  • thats pretty legit.

  • screen is way too fuking small imo

  • That's the crazzyest arcade cab I ever seen! It literally has everything! Now all you need to do is paint it and then add some side art and it will look amazing

  • wow dude thats crazy! good job. i havent seen one this crazy before. im just starting work on my arcade and im trying to figure out a layout.

  • good job on construction but with this big of a project I think you should have put more thought into it. the screen should be less tilted back, the wheels are cool but they should be on mounts and removable or flip under the cabinet when not in use. The pop out keyboard is cool yet in a dumb spot. The wood look just doesnt go with the arcade look. All in all its really cool but to be amazing I think it needs some work or some modifications.

  • lol Master chief

That is too rambo of an arcade machine.

  • muppet

  • i only need 2 players 6 buttons japanese layout and im happy

  • Man a lot of work must've gone into this. There's a lot of cool things about this cabinet, however, having all those steering wheels in the way would be a pain in the ass. Also why on earth would you have 9 buttons?

  • nice work ! adjust coolers lowerspeed, it keeps very loud sound imo :

  • What game on mother earth has a 9 button Layout? That's just ridiculous

  • The owner of this cab is Mr. John merrick ?

  • Seems a bit overkill if you ask me. What version of mame is that?

  • I have to say, I definitely applaud your engineering on this cab. I know first hand that getting all of those controls working together is no small task. I hate to be critical of something you worked so hard on, but if I'm being honest, that thing is aesthetically a bit of a mess. It's all function and no form. You probably need 2 to 3 arcade cabinets for all those features you have crammed into that one. Anyway, regardless, if you enjoy it, that's all that matters! Cheers!

  • Microsoft Sam lol.

  • thats kool

  • That`s right, some paint job and it`s perfect. (preferably dark color)

  • That is very impressive dude. What part of this setup did you find the most challenging?

  • Worst mame cab I have ever seen...

  • Its unplayable, lots of hardwork and a waste of time. You should have built 5 seperate cabs not thrown 1000 buttons 500 joysticks 400 steering wheels at MDF. 100% for effort though. Looks like a timber yard shat on a arcade spares store though

  • thats not an arcade machine thats just a gay

  • That is SUUUUPER awesome!!!

Do you have plans to paint/decorate it?

  • i bet you could run nassa from that B

  • Nice cab.. I'll bet it's heavy as hell though. should have made a tuck away for the Wheels though. Just an idea ;) Are you going to paint it ?

  • how do you even play as a 4th-5th player!??

  • opps nevermind. I guess you got enough room to see the screen afterall.

  • Wow, personally speaking I'd just paint it and add in a bigger screen and call it finish.

  • Congratulations! You've wasted a lot of your time and money on a POS...

    ...cabs don't run windows...

  • ok fair comment

please post a link to ur homemade cab,,

u must have one to have such an insight to arcade machines

  • Comment removed

  • I don't own a homemade cabinet...

However, my boyfriend has owned a sega astro city and now owns an egret II....they're real cabs...

  • @gerble1000 i do believe that you PAWNCHED him
