Xbox, PS3 and all the rest of the 'Johnny cum Latelys' are what has cancelled Freelancer 2 and a host of other PC games... its all diluted. If a new game is not easily platform transportable (and that kills it anyway) it won't happen. We are all losers here. The games industry is fucked over by greedy industrialists.

Such a ridiculously good game. Right up there with Legacy of Kain for me. Love it. We need a good, well-made, not-dumbed-down sequel! In fact, make it a bit more complex; extra depth with a game like this can't be a bad thing.

What puzzles me is how ppl could CANCEL the production of Freelancer 2 !

I mean, this game is REALLY incredible, and everything they said it is TRUE!

Its a masterpiece, masterwork, it is a PERFECT game of this GENRE!

Theres NOTHING compared to that, NOTHING!

The number of factions, the scenario, the infinite places you can visit... Ships, weapons !

Mann ! I just wish that Freelancer had a Garage, you know ? So you could have a frigate or a assault ship!

Freespace 2 is also awsome. Unlike Freelancer, Freespace requires a joystick for easier play.

In the beginning i thought it was a terrible idea to play a game like this with a mouse, but once i got into it, my thoughts reversed into thinking why other games DIDN'T have such a control scheme.

It became so intuitive and precise that even thinking about the over-complication in other space sims like the X series made me cringe.

Joysticks in space sims became a crutch i was all too glad to get rid of.

the ship is pretty good for the start of the game.... i dont remember its name but i know it has a torpedo attachment!

Crossfire is another great mod, never played Disco in MP tried SP and didn't really like it much. I am sure Disco has its good points, I just prefer CrossFire.
