Awesome drill, I especially like how it mentions how your shoulders and hitting arm should look on the finish. Not enough instruction on how to change a dirty diaper though.
Hi Jeff, Thanks a lot for this nice drill and tips, I found it quite useful but I have a question: You said in one of your comments "Make sure the palm of the hand is facing you at the end of this drill. " I was thinking actually the opposite, in the end of the move you should see the top of your hand facing you... (opposite of palm) please check the link /watch?v=OIjfJrfIWnI&feature=related and you will see what I mean. I am confused as this is a big change in the move.Thx!
ORIGIN early 20th cent.: probably a blend of irrespective and regardless .
USAGE Irregardless, with its illogical negative prefix, is widely heard, perhaps arising under the influence of such perfectly correct forms as : irrespective.
Excellent drill- the best kick serve demo I've seen, along with demonstration. Holding the racket higher up and/ finishing on the same side of your body will definitely help you with more topspin.
Holding the racquet higher on the grip helps student learn how to pronate the hand correctly. The butt of the racquet will hit your forearm if you are pronating your hand incorrectly. Make sure the palm of the hand is facing you at the end of this drill. Hope that helps!
At first the elbow pivot goes in position ...then stops in the air and allow the forearm accelerates around .... near the contact the wrist snaps and so doing adds more acceleration and drives the raq. face trought the ball. Hope i have understood.

Yes, but you wont be as sideways because the toss isnt as far over your head

Hey coach, does the tip for staying sideways apply to the first serve also?

How to hit a Twist Serve (where the ball curves to the receiver's right in the air and then
to the receiver's left on the bounce)?

Thanks Jeff, this is an awsome tip. Especially the one about the shoulders tilted. I was overlooking that really.

I seem the arm swings using a double pivot ...forearm around the elbow and hand around the wrist ...

Superb drill!!! You just can't get the ball over the net if you don't do everything well (as you pointed out you can't "cheat"). Thanks a lot!!!
