@SquidgyMcGee But...of course !!! the visby is much smaller than the large LCS, and role are very different; one is for limited patrol, and the other is for close shore combat. The Visby is basically a " Coast guard " vessel, while the LCS-1 & LCS-2, sea-going combat vessel.

The ZUBR is a landing craft, it's meant to transport things like troops or vehicles. The Visby class is a Corvette and is meant to be used against other ships.

I am in the British Royal Navy and I like the look of these ships. If they could fit a hangar for a small helicopter then with their low base cost and high speed would make superb anti piracy/smuggling ships. I can only hope the Royal Navy gets something similar.

It goes for heat, visual, infrared, sound, vibration, magnetism, radar signature, signal emissions... and even ultra violet. The Sea shadow is a whole other generation than the visby class. Sea shadow is like generation 0.5 and visby is 2.0. If you would make a modern Sea Shadow it would surely be fitted with guns and modern equipment too!.

It deploys, shoots and then sails off before the bombs even hits the target.
When the enemy finally realise that they are hit, the HMS Visby have changed its position.

@Heruure actually we would win a war at sea because most of our naval constructs today are invisible to several detection methods, and Russia is still using "old" technology in their army, also their army is so focused on violence they wouldn't even come up with a good strategy to beat us...
...but then again we are a "neutral" country so war is never an option for us :)

@EloTheMan1 We would loose a naval war, we have virtually no anti submarine warfare capability, our Visby class corvettes may be very modern but they aren't actually fully armed yet since they lack both anti air missiles and RBS 15 anti ship missiles which means in battle they would have to rely on their 57 mm guns.

The poster (illuminatet) is wrong. Visby is the only full spectrum stealth ship in the world. It goes for heat, visual, infrared, sound, vibration, magnetism, radar signature, signal emissions... and even ultra violet. If the swedish (conventional) subs are the best, this is the best surface vessel. No question about it. It will do the job! Don't mess with it!

Sweden is a very remarkable peice of land. Throughout the century it's people have totaly relyed on their self. They have their own car industry. They make tanks, corvettes, submarines, airplanes such as the SAAB gripen. They even make space rockets, and are even top of the chart every time. Sweden is a force to be reckoned with! And there will never be a war between Finland and Sweden, for we are still brothers!

if your russian then you dont know your history very well....During WW2 you outnumbered the german army aka "der wehrmacht" wtih atleast 2-1(more like 5-1) just searh on googel or wiki or anything the numbers are not even close to be even still the germans did a good job pressing on as far as they did but in the long run(as for sweden in the great nothern war) russia/soviet won becouse they had ALOT more soldiers

Are you shitting me? Sweden kicked russias ass all the way to the mid 1700's. Then Sweden began their peaceful way of thinking. However, a lot of swedes went over to Finland during WW2 covering our Finnish peoples backs. Last time I checked, Russia did not win what war.

The Sea shadow is a whole other generation than the visby class. Sea shadow is like generation 0.5 and visby is 2.0. If you would make a modern Sea Shadow it would surely be fitted with guns and modern equipment too!.
