I'm not sure what you mean by fake, the diffusers are not connected directly to the tips, but that's the same situation with most high end performance cars.. Car companies do not mold the bumper to the exhausts lol... You are a silly boy. The IS-F still has high flowing exhausts, but the stock exhaust has been quieted down to fit in with the rest of the plush Lexus lineup.
ok my bad. but even you said it, it fits in "with the rest of the plush Lexus lineup." its just not sports oriented enough. its not offered in manual and 8 gears is more of a transmission for a luxury car than a sports car.
it's still sporty lol, the suspension is unforgiving. i have an is-f and a gt-r, which i both love. the 8 speed is actually fun, it lets you use those paddles which are a blast. the throttle response in sport mode with the paddle shifting just throws you back into the seat in the lower gears, and the tires chirp hard at full throttle between gears. the throttle blipping on downshifts makes you feel like you are in race car. puts a smile on my face every time i drive it and im lucky to have one.
I'd take the m3 over the lexus anyday, period. That's just my opinion. BMW has such an attention to detail, you cannot tryluy compare them on youtube. You have to drive them both to know.

actually the engine is a tuned version of the ls460. stroked and bored with diff. camshafts tuned by yamaha, but the engines are very similar. so they actually do know what they are talking about....

Ya, I agree. The new M3 may be a monster for mid weight sports car on the track, but the looks definitely fall short compare to the older models. Actually all the new 3 series models are not very beemer like. However, personally speaking the current 5s are the best looking BMW or even in it's class.

After watching all the test videos with the new M3 and IS-f, I believe it will draw more people to the M3.(Assuming these buyers are actual enthusiasts and not kids looking for a nice joy ride). There are a lot of bias against japanese luxury cars. On track the IS-F outperform the M3 but not much. Lexus are the best luxury cars but i wouldnt get the IS-F. It looks funny to me. M3 looks better but the IS-F has way better interior. Reliability, less maintenance cost, technology, and luxury, go Lexus!!! Mercedes and BMW are expensive and just a name with no game, a thing of the past.
Overall no, but the ISF clocked faster times in 0-60 than the M3 in most mags. RT, MT, CD all those mags tend to favor European cars anyway. I dont trust their reviews.
Actually the M3 and the ISF cost about the same. They both are very expensive cars...go well over $60k w/ options. and the peformance? is so similar that its stupid to argue. The ISF is slightly faster in a straight line but the M3 handles slightly better. so overall it's not quite a M3 killer. but it can definelty keep its own against the competitors.

Well the M3 still beat it in the circuit race so i guess the title should be changed to M3 competitor. Drove one recently it feels good but it wasnt a long enough drive to get comfy with it. M3 is still > than any Lexus :(, Lets see what the LF A delivers :D
The numbers for the ISF are very good. When in a straight line the lexus may beat an M3 marginally but an M3 was never to a car thats just full of power it is a car thats well balanced its great at many things. The Lexus isn't as balanced as the BMW. Life can't always be lived a 1/4 mile at a time.
if I put a supercharger on the IS-F, carbon-fiber hood and roof, governor taken out & performance chip put in, that little M3 wouldn't stand a chance.

Hell no it does not! porky IS has NOTHING! on the M3. Even with 1 liter more displacement, it cannot match M3's 12.5 secs 1.4 mile. The new E92 M3 is kicking a** all over the place. Motor Trend put C63, M3 sedan and IS-F through their paces and M3 cames out to be the winner. It ran around the race track 5 seconds faster than the IS-F (that is HUGE!), M3 was No.1, C63 2nd and IS-F a very distant 3rd! according to the points.

Cool Car, but the rear Exhaust set up is kind of ugly. This is more a Japanese C63 than an M3. Neither of which pose a threat to the M3 on the track, but are potentially quicker in a straightline ( the c63 is). Neither have the balance or finesse of the M3,hence the reason the M3 lapped 5 seconds quicker than a C63 on Topgears recent test (incl the RS4). The IS-F is a cool car nonetheless , a good alternative for those who want something different... if theyd only change the exhausts

and the IS-F also set a much higher slalom/handling speed then the M3. Lexus used the Porsche 911 as a handling benchmark for the IS-F and it shows- the IS-F has the same G's in turns and gets the same slalom speed as a Carrera 4s. Amazing.

Lexus and BMW are in exactly the same league,both luxury cars,only difference is that BMW has more sport sedans to choose from,now Toyota is not in the same league but they do make Lexus,just look at the price ranges on BMW and Lexus and honestly i don't think BMW is any better as far as quality goes....im not takings sides,i love them all and i can't afford any of them lol if i could it would be very hard to choose.1 thing i don't like about IS F is it has too many gear,6 speed would do fine..

The m3 is just a hair faster, but lacks everything a 55,000 dollars is supposed to have like quality. The lexus has a solid reliable drivetrain along with a comfortable and luxurious cabin. BMW's are known for their high maintenance and poor reliability.

I didn't say Lexus lacks reliability or quality. My mom herself has a Lexus. It is a nice car. but German quality is by far the best.
p.s. i don't like Benz at all either except for the SLR Mclaren. the S series of Audi are pretty fast though

m3 is not "a hair" faster, it kills it. motortrend tested it to be 4 seconds a lap faster than is-f or c63amg. 2 laps and thats 8 seconds.

Ya, I agree. The new M3 may be a monster for mid weight sports car on the track, but the looks definitely fall short compare to the older models. Actually all the new 3 series models are not very beemer like. However, personally speaking the current 5s are the best looking BMW or even in it's class.

After watching all the test videos with the new M3 and IS-f, I believe it will draw more people to the M3.(Assuming these buyers are actual enthusiasts and not kids looking for a nice joy ride). There are a lot of bias against japanese luxury cars. On track the IS-F outperform the M3 but not much. Lexus are the best luxury cars but i wouldnt get the IS-F. It looks funny to me. M3 looks better but the IS-F has way better interior. Reliability, less maintenance cost, technology, and luxury, go Lexus!!! Mercedes and BMW are expensive and just a name with no game, a thing of the past.

Overall no, but the ISF clocked faster times in 0-60 than the M3 in most mags. RT, MT, CD all those mags tend to favor European cars anyway. I dont trust their reviews.

Actually the M3 and the ISF cost about the same. They both are very expensive cars...go well over $60k w/ options. and the peformance? is so similar that its stupid to argue. The ISF is slightly faster in a straight line but the M3 handles slightly better. so overall it's not quite a M3 killer. but it can definelty keep its own against the competitors.

Well the M3 still beat it in the circuit race so i guess the title should be changed to M3 competitor. Drove one recently it feels good but it wasnt a long enough drive to get comfy with it. M3 is still > than any Lexus :(, Lets see what the LF A delivers :D

The numbers for the ISF are very good. When in a straight line the lexus may beat an M3 marginally but an M3 was never to a car thats just full of power it is a car thats well balanced its great at many things. The Lexus isn't as balanced as the BMW. Life can't always be lived a 1/4 mile at a time.

I own an e36 M3, a 99' carrera 4, and my first car was a pony. No im not a gm guy, american cars suck minus vettes. The LS series v8 is literally the best in the world...go read a fucking article or two then go drive a z06 next to a shelby gt500 and then tell me which is better. Lexus production cars are not known for performance or track presence what so ever, you clearly have an improper driving style or are used to improper driving cars, the fact that you like lexus and ford shows that.

Funny thing is how Motor Trend questioned Lexus strategy when the IS-F cost exactly the same as the M3 sedan fully optioned out. They were blunt that NO ONE!!! will ever pick the IS-F over the much superior M3 other than die hard Lexus fanbois. M3 OWNS! that IS-F especially in lap times around a race track where it destroyed the f**ck out of IS-F and also every day drivability. Check out Best Motoring where Tsuchiya San driven M3 destroyed the IS-F. Tsuchiya rated M3 WAYYYY OVER the IS-F.

Hell no it does not! porky IS has NOTHING! on the M3. Even with 1 liter more displacement, it cannot match M3's 12.5 secs 1.4 mile. The new E92 M3 is kicking a** all over the place. Motor Trend put C63, M3 sedan and IS-F through their paces and M3 cames out to be the winner. It ran around the race track 5 seconds faster than the IS-F (that is HUGE!), M3 was No.1, C63 2nd and IS-F a very distant 3rd! according to the points.
Better luck next time Lexus. Until then, M3 IS THE KING AS USUAL!!!!

Cool Car, but the rear Exhaust set up is kind of ugly. This is more a Japanese C63 than an M3. Neither of which pose a threat to the M3 on the track, but are potentially quicker in a straightline ( the c63 is). Neither have the balance or finesse of the M3,hence the reason the M3 lapped 5 seconds quicker than a C63 on Topgears recent test (incl the RS4). The IS-F is a cool car nonetheless , a good alternative for those who want something different... if theyd only change the exhausts

The IS-F has better 0-60 time then M3
highest top elec. limited speed
and the IS-F also set a much higher slalom/handling speed then the M3. Lexus used the Porsche 911 as a handling benchmark for the IS-F and it shows- the IS-F has the same G's in turns and gets the same slalom speed as a Carrera 4s. Amazing.
