You are confusing the Soviet Union and Russia. 20 years ago, the Soviet Union collapsed. Russia remained in place and there is now good.

And many people confuse the term "Soviet" and "Communist." Communism - an ideology, the Soviets - a form of government of the state (in fact, is the management of the state parliaments at various levels - from the main country's parliament to parliament a small village).

No, slovaPL, singing the modern Russian National Anthem does not make Yui "100% communist". The tune is exactly the same as the old Soviet Anthem, but the words are just different enough.

It is funny to note though: the way the words were changed, it really looks like the author was making as few changes as possible! Reference to 'Communism' and 'Lenin' were dropped, just like references to Stalin were dropped in 1977. Vague phrases like "предкамн данная мудрость великая" replaced them.

This isn't the USSR's anthem guys, its the Russian Federations anthem. The two have the same tune but rather different lyrics. You can tell because of the clear line word 'Rossiya' (Russia), which is absent in the Soviet anthem.
