there was originally gonna be more playable characters like your favorite doctor Dr. Robotnik aka eggman also honey the cat, i think metal sonic was originally gonna be playable too as well as rocket metal sonic and i think there were originally gonna be cutscenes and stuff when it was released to the consoles and other aspects as well but those stuff was cut out from the final version of the game dont believe me look it up on youtube type in sonic the fighters beta or something and check it out

Weapons don't give an unfair advantage. There's an attack called "Weapon Steal" where you will actually take the enemy's weapon and beat them with it.

This works on Amy, Bean, Fang, and Espio (yes, Espio...try it, the results are hilarious)

this game makes me think sega took the virtua fighter kids engine and fighting vipers and combined them with sonic charecters minus the armor break thing from fighting vipers i used to play vipers way to much in the arcade till mk 2 came out
