  • The guts-exposed centurians are inferior to the '70s "chrome toasters" in terms of design for operation in a wide range of environments. Cylons get committed to combat on, and occupation of, ice worlds, water worlds, glacier terrain, in a planet's rings, etc.. TOS states that the Cylons deliberately chose to stay with "the most adaptable form they had encountered -- the human one." But the mere frameworks RDM shows are vulnerable to mud, dust, water immersion, etc., and have no standoff armor.

  • @50zcarsman - The original Cylons looked more compact, & like they were more durable, even if they were supposedly lousy shots, as many people have said. The new centurions looked like slightly bipedal insectoid forms. Of course I thought making the Raiders & even the actual baseships into Cylons was an interesting touch. Maybe RDM wanted to do a new design because the original 70's Centurions were so heavily influenced by the armour of Darth Vader & the Imperial Storm Troopers from Star Wars.

  • Epic music for the slide show. Of course i have to point out that it was used in a major battle sequence where a cylon fleet was shreded by colonial forces.

To bad the show was cancelled, they did so much, and had so much further to go.
