Following the cattle with a mobile chicken coop, about 3-4 days after the cattle have been moved to the next paddock, will eliminate most all flies, (not black flies which reproduce in running water, not manure). Chickens are very efficent at eating the fly larvae as they scratch through the maure patties. If enough dung bettles are present, they will pull the manure underground before the flies have a chance to grow in them.
