What is going on with your SR-71,have you moved toward finnishing it?How big is this model,I was a crew chief for 24 years and loved watching Habu taking off in Okinawa.Thank for a great model,I`m an RCer also.David USAF RET
Any chance you'll show us a video with the scale landing gear and inlet spikes installed? I can't believe you are building another one with the crazy restrictions you put on yourself! Good luck. I look forward to following your progress.

I admire his persistence. How often does someone spend seven years of his life on something without saying, "screw it," and going to do something else?
You have one awesome project there. Most people don't stick with a project for that amount of time and money. I'm impressed, and I can't wait to see it finished. I wonder if there's any way you could put a FPV system in there without messing up scale appearance? Have you seen the RVOSD or the new EagleTreeSystems ProOSD? Flying the sled with one of those would be sweet!
I agree, a camera would be really cool. If you don't want the weight in the nose you could put it on a pylon like the aircraft had to carry the D-21, further toward your C of G.
Lance, congratulations it was a pleasure to watch your jet fly... i have watched your progress on this project since 2002, i am was so delighted to finally see it fly (in video)... what is your next project going to be? i am hoping you will go for the Concorde...

Thanks. I'll probably just keep it posted here. Next week, I'll get an update to the build web site, and reference back here to the video, for those that have been following along on the build over the years.
man that is one bad pieace of equipment. the way that thing spooled up sent goose bumps down my spine... hands down thats the baddest one on here!!! you should be proud
I can't post links in here, so you'll have to do a search, but here's what I found for Lance's Blackbird in it's current state.
