I passed people like this when I was unsaved. They were nothing but loud and we never could understand why they were always telling people how bad they are. wow what about Jesus at the well. These people think there John the Baptist sorry friend most of my friends would stay away from the screamers on the street. We got saved after a humble loving Pastor had lunch with us and told us about LOVE of Jesus and the fathers Love. Mary Nahas you are so right

standing on a corner sreaming like that is not a great tool to get people to christ your John the Baptist I talk with many people about this and they think your nuts and very scarey. if I was not saved and heard this I would run from that .

I left Reidsville over 20 years ago and when I worked in down town back in the 70's we had great street preachers ...I have never seen one any place else other than in Reidsville.

i just wanted to say that all of you are entitled to your opinion so why isn't he? hmm.that makes alot of since.all i have to say is that my bible tells me to tell everyone that i can about Him and give them the opportunity to go to that wonderful place with me.I bet you couldn't have enough courage to go out there and do what these preachers do.

Most times preachers talk to the church. However, this man seems to be talking to himself...most people don't understand or know this, but reidsville is full of people that thump their own little insane habbits when ever the mood strikes them. Personally, i enjoy dancing in my front yard... insanely.. hey there's an idea, do that in your _____front yard; you would prob. get mor spectators. just a friendly hint from your neighborhood drug store...

I am not a store owner. However I do believe they should be respected. And I am one of the nicest people you could meet. I am very understand and respectful for to all people. However, my level of understanding usually leaves me labled as a liberal.

i see reidsville baptist out there every thursday night and saturday mornings,also teenagers go out every wednesday before church. they have the biggest bus ministry in reidsville nc and they do all that they can for anyone. so before you say something like that you need to know your facts.

This is the problem with preachers like this. They use the "heaven or hell" method and basically scare some people into this new religion. Its wrong. Win people over through acts of decency and humanity then introduce your ideals. When you scare people into christianity, it makes church a chore. "I have to go or i'm going to hell". Then they stray. Change your methods. Find a new location. Fact is, the store owners didn't ask for this. However, they can fight back with loud music. 2 way street.

I'm sorry to report one Reidsville merchant is known to have attempted to persuade the Police Department to run off the street preachers. He also tried to persuade other merchants to join his crusade.

I am happy to report the Police Department, out of respect for the First Amendment, declined to heed the merchant's demand.

@neelync Reply to Richard: As they scream like animals only yards from our storefronts they are breaking the biblical ordinance "do everything decently and in order" and also the ordinance of disturbing the peace. Since I uphold the constitution, I'm not saying they should leave. I'm only saying they should turn down the volume out of respect for our businesses and to speak God's word with reverence out of respect for God.

Thank you for posting this without mockery. As I replied earlier, whether you have the same beliefs as this man or not, you have to respect someone who is not afraid to profess their beliefs publicly. Who is he hurting? Nobody!!!!! People can listen to him or not. The last time I checked, this is still a free country. But, then, I haven't checked for a few hours. Maybe, none of us will be allowed to say what we believe in if the country keeps going down the road that it is.
