I had to try out for this song for honor choir and it was really difficult but i still made it in !!!!!! But this song with all different ranges is absolutely beautiful!!!
I'm a senior in high school right now that will be a freshman at Murray in the fall. I've been in the choir at my school all four years & had every intention of auditioning in college, so I have to say that this is absolutely incredible and I would be honored to be a part of this next year and all my years at Murray. (:
I've already started working on learning two pieces for auditions :D
I found out last week that we're singing this song in the UofL Honor Choir on Monday. It's probably my favorite & listening to this performance is really helping me to learn the piece.
wow... nice. Very impressed with your choir's ability to sing different styles differently! :) I first heard your performance of Come To Me My Love and then this... amazing how you are able to go from that much open spinning vibrato on the romantic piece to a TOTALLY almost straight tone here. That takes some serious control. Good intonation, vowels, dynamic shading.... Bravo!
weird... did an alto sing a flat 7 (Bb if its in C) on "pultus" at about 2:57? or maybe its a baby crying or some very unusual overtone... it's very faint but totally changes the chord. Wonderful performance, though.
Brings tears to my eyes with each viewing/listening .......... just melts all semblance of control I think I have on my emotions, as the world & its problems disappear into the beautiful harmony.

Ah I love the lotti crucifixus. My choir sang it during holy week, and I thought it was such a cool peice.This singing of it is beautiful.
