What does the way she's lived her life have to do with you wanting to buy the CD or not? You pay for her talent, her music, and that's what counts. The album is actually brilliant and I'm def going to buy it. This isn't "bad".

Or maybe you did not know that those CD songs were artificially altered, re-recorded in the recording studio. She may have a nice voice on the CD but that is no comparison to her live voice on stage. Her voice has been permanently damaged. Go watch the live video.

I DO give Whitney houston some credit. of course, she was my idol in the 80's but remember, the recording studios have greatly improvised throughout the decades. The voice back in the 80's were the original voice and the voice nowadays can be artificially altered and improvised through the use of the computer and audio effects.

The fact is, Whitney's live performances today are below quality level. It's sad that she has lost that quality due to her drug addiction and vocal chord abuse.

Fair enough, I get what you're saying and I agree, you are right about there being ways to edit the voices etc but I don't think her voice has been edited on her CD, it's obviously different singing in a booth with headphones on stood still in front of a mic then walking/jumping around on stage and trying to sing the same. I don't think she's too bad though. Do you like her new album?

No I don't like her new album and I also don't like the fact that she falsely denied her drug addiction---which is now responsible for the destruction of her own voice. She's a crack addict and I hope she continues to get help for her drug abuse problems, instead of blaming Oprah for "talking too much with her" on the Oprah Winfrey show.

She told Oprah's staff that the reason why she had dreadful live performance was because of "talking too much" at the Oprah Winfrey show. That was uncalled for. Oprah is GOD.

She may not have lied to Oprah but she lied to Ms. Barbara Walters about her crack addiction. I don't have anything against Whitney's career, only the fact that I take drug abuse very personally and I would never use crack, crystal meth or cocaine. Bad example for black kids.

Yes, she lied to Barbara Walters on national Television which aired on CBS news. She was so thin and hooked on drugs everyone knew she was a crack cocaine drug user. Drugs are bad for kids and I feel sorry for Whitney that she now lost her damaged voice because of her drug abuse addiction.

Its called autotune, Celein deion uses it live when she plays vegas every week or whatever. So I wouldn't doubt that Whitney would use it live now.

All auto tune does is make it when a person is holding a note it stays on key. Being not everyone can hold a note as long as some songs desire.

Recently rappers like T-pain and etc have figured away to misuse auto tune, where there voice will jump 2 or 3 notes up or down. making it sound more robotic like.

Celine Dion does not use autotune live. Not at all. Neither is Whitney on her CD.

It's different in a recording booth. People will obviously sound great in a booth and then not so good say on stage jumping and moving around alot.

She was on drugs, that sucks, but it's not like she stopped using drugs and lost her entire vocal range, ability, and her memory. She can sing and knows how to sing.

I don't see how T-Pain misuses it, he just uses it oddly.

I've never bought or owned a Whitney Houston CD in my life, but I love this new one and I don't see why there has to be so much criticism.

This is also just my opinion so of course others are entitled to disagree, I won't deny that.
