Ok. One nervous fucker with a sad song and dirty hair on a massive stage playing a stripped down version of his song. He even tunes his song at the end.
So, no, it's the WHOLE thing, not just the chair, smartass.
this looks like it's from the fall 2001 tour. just him and his guitar. he played at the carrboro arts center and it looked like this setup. in fact, it might be carrboro since he was wearing the same clothes at the show. his nephew came on stage a few times. he'd be 21 in this.
awesome. i was front and center for that show. the first three bright eyes shows i went to, i was front and center. i gave him the pics with him and his nephew at the next show he played in chapel hill. i hope he kept them.
this is from my celebration upon auto-disfellowship from the Jehovah's... no, really - solo tour with Simon Joyner | ArtsCenter | Chapel Hill, North Carolina | 11.29.01. I have the full Conor set, including many songs from 'Fevers and Mirrors' as well as those from the [as of this show] unreleased 'Lifted'.
This has been my favorite song or so long now... god its just so beautiful
and sad and amazing <3

Fevers and Mirrors is such a fantastic album. Does anyone know what album The Joy in Forgetting/The Joy in Acceptance is from?

"The Joy In Forgetting / The Joy In Acceptance"
wiredbird 3 years ago
Its from one of the intour sound support cd, sold on early tours, I'm pretty sure it was recorded at a similar time to oh holy fools...
And fevers is good, I prefer letting off the happiness though :)
hiddeninromance 2 years ago
It's The Joy In Discovery and it's from Fevers and Mirrors
Lady221 2 years ago
@cambodiadk123 It's from the japanese version of Fevers and Mirrors. Other additional songs on that version are "Jetsabel removes the Undesireables".

Reminiscent of Elliott Smith. The whole one guy with a chair thing.

This has been flagged as spam show
If it only takes one guy and a chair then there are MILLIONS reminiscent of Elliott Smith! ????
Second impression is, Is this some kind of joke?

This album was released in 2000 and recorded in 1999.
This video was posted in 2006.
He was born in 1980.
He could have been anywhere between 19 and 26 when this video was recorded.
I'm pretty sure his age when the video was taken is what Acmed was referencing.
nice try tho...
