Many archers throughout history that were stationary, static defense-type archers (maybe they are defending a castle) had heavier armour that let's say more moblie, or hit-and-run guerilla warfare-type archers. Not that I think heavy armour is superior on archers, I'm just giving a defense for people who support heavier armour on an archer.

And join DB or Thieves Guild

And get a Forsworn bow as fast as possible really easy look on the map and look for forsworn camps or castles

personally, I find that unrelenting force and whirlwind sprint are the most useful shouts for an archer, unrelenting force to push back enemies that are too close, whirlwind sprint to escape from a more powerful enemy

Instead of using a second bow theres another enchantment called fiery souls that gives you both fire and sould trap in one so go for fiery souls and frost for the bow.

Here's a tip: use the steed for your sign as an archer. 15% faster leveling for ALL skills, helps get sneak, light armor, and alchemy if you like it.

A great shout for archers in my opinion is Fus ro dah since it pushes away your enamy a bit so you can run away then kill him a range:)

If you have the steed stone, heavy armor won't weigh you down. I use daedric on my archer with the steed stone. I'm now levelling up heavy armor until I get the one perk that makes heavy armor weigh nothing.

idk if this was said but i chose a breton for conjuration and faendal as my partner (instead of sven). bonus conjuration helps get bound bow and using the exploit with partners and training helps power level achery

@halodude178 just use the weapon that you desire to get better at i.e. one handed, two handed, archery, destruction, etc. Then when you level up, put your perks into those skills. If u just got the game, i would suggest just playing through without worrying about playing a certain class. Just use what's fun to you and you'll get better. Hope it helped XD

Another good shout is the Throw Voice shout, if enemies are within range. Throw your voice at an open area, then pick them off one at a time. Same effect with an arrow, but enemies are often out of earshot.

I play as a Khajiit, but I am actually more of an assassin than full out archer. I was simply pointing out that Archery bonuses at the beginning do not account for much, because Faendal is able to get you straight to level 50 for free, if you use the correct method.

You should probably go light admit because once you start getting upgrades for the higher and better glass armors, they are really good, especially the dragonscale. If you want daedric still... After you get 100 smithing you can spend a couple of points the other way on tree to get both.

I'm a battle archer type thing, which involves sneaky archery and combat with a one handed weapon and a shield. I'm confused whether to use light or heavy armor. I'm playing on master so heavy can be useful, but light lets you move faster and sneak better. Bonuses from the Shrouded armor are really useful. If I wear light now (lvl 10) then my skill will go up and it will be better than heavy but I want to also wear Daedric later. What to do?!

To be honest, at the beginning you don't need the Archery bonus. I say this because in Riverwood, you can help out Faendal from Riverwood, and he will train you in Archery up to level 50. If you are friends with Faendal, you can bring him along as your companion, and you can trade items with him, meaning that all the money you spent to train up your Archery you can get back without Pickpocketing.

Im an Archer, In my opinion, I think that Smithing (Light Armor) and Enchanting (Fortify Archery, Light Armor, Health) are crucial in an archer, normally a glass bow with 100 archery can get you maybe 110 damage. But, with enchanting and smithing (And alchemy) I got my bow to do 258 damage at 82 archery. I also rely on my sneak abilities to good me to a good vantage point (Height advantage is the best) and then I shoot poisoned tipped arrows at my enemies with 1000 damage hits.

In my opinion, Kajiits are a great class for an archer. You don't start with as much skill in archery, but they have benefits such as night eye for shooting enemies at night or in dark caves, 15 unarmed damage which is a great last resort attack for the beginning of the game, and they start with 25 sneak which can help a lot with getting double sneak damage.

best dragon slayer class is mage. enchantments to fortify restoration 100% and a decent ward and their shouts dont hurt you. next is archer just plain because he has has that ranged bonus while the dragon is flying. last is warrior because they are glued to the ground.
