  • The only company that put out a somewhat decent pocket auto was Beretta. But generally, they're not the top-of-the-line firearms, in any respect. Taurus usually wins Handgun of the Year in some catagory or another. But in pocket autos, this doesn't suprise me how bad this gun was for you. Mostly, the culprit is the ammo. 25 ACP, 32 ACP, and .380's are notoriously underpowered, and terrible carry guns, in my opinion. Trade it off for a case of .223's and call it a day! - C.J.

  • I don't know why you were leaning back when shooting it, either cause you had no safety glasses or the pistol smelled like " tata " . I think PT stands for " piece o' tata ".

  • Nice shootn Tex!!!

  • ..also you gotta support women using firearms and posting to the YouTubes. They are more vulnerable than men (due to body size, not temperament), and more should be proficient at self defense along these lines.

  • If a guy took a 9mm hollow-point to the pre-frontal cortex, I'm sure he would have a very bad day. Ask former Colonel Moammar Ghaddafi if he thinks that the 9 isn't fit for real world combat.

  • Sub caliber guns are good for stealth and better than nothing , but 9mm is like minimum for real world combat and 45.acp is a proven round in real combat situations where determined heavily armed attackers go down when hit with a well placed shot. 40. s&w is a good compromise round as is 357. mag . The larger calibers 45.colt 10mm, 44.mag. 50s&w etc. are powerful but harder for most people to control and the guns that fire them are often quite large.

  • @theschizoid1 Thank you for the input ;) c

  • Cheap firearms are perfect for self defense. What a lot of shooters don't realize is that if you do shoot someone, your going to trial (most of the time). If you are acquitted of charges there will probably be an appeal or civil action brought against you. The bottom line is that your gun will be destroyed or you will never get it back. So use cheap firearms for defense because your $300 + gun is a goner.

  • What is "cheesy" about it? I have the same gun and although I find it kicks hard, I don't see anything "cheesy" about it... I wouldn't wanna' be on the other end of it or any other gun for that matter!

  • Beretta Tomcat .32acp or Beretta Cheetah .380 you wont go wrong ! Look into the .380 it has a bigger grip and it looks just like it big brother the M9 ! ;)

  • You maybe should have looked at the Beretta Tomcat if you like those designs a lot. I know I do, but I like .32 acp a lot myself. Also a big 9mm fan but I cant find a gun that really fits for my EDC so I went with a bersa thunder 380 cc. Again check out the Beretta Tomcat they are gorgeous and they fit the hand well and absorb what little recoil a .32 may have. Keep it loaded with FMJ and your set!

  • I love your videos by the way. :)

  • 25 ACP is weaker than a spitball. Worthless caliber. I'm amazed how many women carry them in their purses. ANY caliber would be an improvement.

  • Try a sig sauer. Quality!

  • I have two Taurus 's and felt the same. I went to a gun range and I spoke to the gun smith. He shot them no problem. I shot them and I had issues. We adjusted my hands and grip, I was shooting as good as he was, very pleased with both Taurus's now.

  • geez not only does the gun suck but the round didn't even look like it punched through the water bottle and it took 2 shots to knock it over! I doubt it would stop anybody charging at you.

  • @Deeteritaville You noticed that too huh? Really not impressed with this one ;) c

  • If you want a small pocket gun for everyday carry, I suggest a Sig Sauer P238 .380acp. Its like a Mini-1911 only without a grip Safety. After a bad experience with another .380acp pocket gun I broke my Sig in Hard!! 100 WWB, 50 JHP, & 20 Self Defense Round. Only cooldown was the time it took to reload the mag. It never failed not once. =)

  • @MstangMch4 Thanks for the suggestion ;) c

  • @MstangMch4 I have the P238 SAS and love it. I fill it with Speer Gold Dots for ccw.

    Some days it's a primary, somedays a backup to 9mm or .45acp

  • @RainmanE350 You have seen what I have haven't you? Sig is making & coming out with in a few short months with a 9mm version. a Sig P938. Slightly longer in length & height but not much. Just think, no more paying as much for .380acp as ya do for .45acp. An more effective than .380!!! I'm saving my pennies & hoping they come out with as many variations of the new Sig p938 as they have the P238 so I can pick which I like best =)

  • Not only the gun are trash but the 25ACP is a trash cartridge. I would honestly feel safer carrying a .22LR. Thanks for the vid though!

  • @neolexington thank you for watching ;) c

  • @SoulSurvivorX2 .25 was originally made because it could be more reliable than .22 (.25's a centerfire, .22's rimfire). Modern .22LR from a good manufacturer is about as reliable, and at least some lines are more powerful/better performers. I wouldn't want to get shot by a .25, but it's really not a very good carry load.

  • @neolexington Not in same barrel length you wouldn't. That's why 25acp get bad press cause no guns offer them with much more than 2 inches.

  • Not exactly a 357....reminds me to do a gun video next.....peace..

  • hey now the pt 101 40 cal is nice :)

  • @thedude44963 Never seen one of those. But I'll probably stay away from Taurus unless it's a revolver ;) c

  • @SoulSurvivorX2 lol its a beretta 92 clone i can promise you its reliable :) ive put about 1000 rounds threw it haha :)

  • I have the PT-22 It breaks firing pins routinely The Taurus is a copy of the Beretta Tomcat-Bobcat series They generally get good reviews I`m going to trade mine in on a Beretta ASAP

  • That seems to be the same conclusion everyone reaches about Taurus..... eventually!

  • @rod38um Yep...$300 down the drain ;) c

  • @rod38um hmmmm... I must be doing something wrong then. I've owned Tauruses for years, revolvers and semi-autos, and I've never had a problem with any of them.

  • Friends dont let friends shoot Taurus. ;-)

  • @jeshely I hear that ;) c

  • lolololol piece of trash

  • Good honest review. I think all of us have bought at least one gun we later decided was junk. I know I have. Live and learn I guess. Now with Youtube it's easier to get some info on a potential purchase. Thanks for the info on this gun.

  • @SnowLobo95 Thank you! Good to hear from you...been some time :) c

  • Thanks for sharing. Its good to see a honest review, keep the vids coming guys. Graham.

  • I guess I wont be buying one of those.

  • @1crimm Yea...don't waste your money ;) c

  • Tell it like it is.....that's what I'm talking about. Good to see you guys are feeling better. Have a great weekend......OohRah

  • @bigdaddyhoffman1911 Thanks for watching ohh rah! ;) c

  • Try a Sig P239

  • @s3gasisd Going shopping tomorrow ;) c

  • LOL I like the definition of PT...

  • "Cheesy Taurus pt25 for sale"....lol

    Also @ 1:50 damn fine!

  • @davidsquall351 Thank you David ;) c

  • Thanks for being honest about how crappy this thing is. I surely won't be asking Santa for one of these.

  • @ATF6281914 Was thinking about turning into a cigarette lighter ;) c

  • @SoulSurvivorX2

I would love to see that.

    Tutorial please! :)

  • i would like a R&G 22 REVOLVER better 8in barol 8 shot silinder my dad tought me to shoot one at 3years and to just tip the glass coke bottle if dune right the bullet lands inside the unbroken bottle and the top of the bottle comes off when you pick it up leaving you a coke glass just sand with 80 grit sand paper and its done

  • @MrSwiftndeadly Revolver... trusty ;) c

  • @HYDE43210 Saving my money for some quality firearms ;) c

  • taurus is perfect in handbag but it is too small for shooting

  • @denis75013 I agree completely...but it will never be in my purse again ;) c

  • The lil Beretta's a nice pocket pistol...you should check em out...The 32 is nice.

  • @popcorncrow We'll check into that Beretta Thanks for commenting ;) c

  • is this really for sale??? What do you want for it? i had one of these before and i really enjoyed shooting it. PM me if your serious about selling it

  • @1979aerocaprice Probably won't sell it. May trade it or keep it in my desk drawer ;) c

  • Don't judge all Taurus Pistols by that one. I have a PT945, a PT709 and a TCP (.380), and they've been great. But if you do get the Walther, I think you'd be happy. But I can't be believe a .22 caliber pistol is good for much besides defense against rabid squirrels.

  • @TheMotorick Rabid squirrels??? I guess I better keep it then ;) c

  • Sell it - good choice

  • @TheFireArmGuy Yea...it doesn't even make a good boat anchor! Worthless ;) c

  • Not good ... you have to really like your carry gun. I think I picked up on you not really liking that Taurus.. LOL

  • @ebomey Yes this one is a little older. I EDC a 38 revolver now....my little fren'

Thanks for watching and commenting ;) c

  • Be sure to get some calendar shots with the taurus before ya trade it off for the applesauce

  • I'm prety happy with my Berretta 950 25, very small, but never had a jam and have had it for yrs.

  • @LowBuckPrepper I've had a few responses mentioning the Beretta... will have to check them out ;) c

  • Be careful you mint piss off a squiral with that thing lol my mom had one fake perel handles and all lol real crappie gun

  • @skunkape49 Those fake pearl grips get me every time ;) c

  • @SoulSurvivorX2 yep the first few shots brake the handles there cheep made not cheep to buy lol

  • The Ford Taurus was a ugly cheese pile of crap also.

  • @Ebiczebulanious They look like it too :0 c

  • Pearl handles & chrome plated can often equal "POC" piece of crap !

  • @skipwadoo Right on! ;) c

  • Taurus only makes decent revolvers all other models suck

  • @76malibuman Agreed ;) c

  • I love cheese and I love guns, but I will not tolerate a Cheesy Gun =}

  • @HollowPointSurvival Maybe I'll make it into a cig lighter ;) c

  • @SoulSurvivorX2 Now, that would be a nice conversation piece, LOL!

  • Trade it to SailingManuel: first talk to his wife as all the gals stick together & she'll make him pay what it's worth.

A pistolero/gundealer told me most jams, -like yours- can be cured by polishing the feed ramp. Look at the ramp with a magnifying glass to see if it is rough. (Obviously, don't ruin the barrel)

NRA magazine had an article about fixing jams in a 1911. It involved measuring the 'space' between the magazine and the barrel + have a throat. It was a good reliability article.

  • @1023471965 I was kinda looking forward to the jar of apples ;) c

  • ill trade you my 12g mossberg mavrick 88 for it

  • @jayez2007 Might be a deal but there's probably too much space between us to make it worthwhile ;) c

  • @SoulSurvivorX2 i live in minnesota

  • I wonder how it compares to the Beretta is was modeled after.

  • @drpreppersc I'd probably stick with the Beretta ;) c

  • I am not a big fan of Taurus, I like there 38 special revolver and that is it. Good video, thanks.

  • @otreborzedalav1 Always bet on revolver ;) c

  • never been a taurus fan... I thought taurus was a latin word meaning low budget junk...

LOL... thats not right, Im sorry...

hope you find ya something that works better for ya!

  • @SoCalPreppers I thought that was a good analogy :) c

  • 10 bucks and I will take it off your hands. It is the least I can do.

  • Sorry you are having problems, Alot of auto's are pickey about ammo. Revolvers solve that issue! Regards,Scott.

  • @RETIREINARIZONA Agree 100% ;) c

  • see it should have been a capricorn then it would have been awesome like me. lol...

going to shoot some pumpkins and squash this weekend if i get a moment between homework and exam studies.

  • @FixedByDoc Waitng for the video ;) c

  • Nice review. Sorry the gun sucks. Thanks for sharing.

  • @allenh60 Thank you ;) c

  • Calling a Taurus a piece of trash has just insulted me,

Any pistol with "gold" on it is cheesy anyway. lol

  • @TacticalHadoken Yep...the gold is a trick ;) c

  • what about a berreta 25

  • @StatenIslandPrepper Lots of folks mentioning that Beretta. Will have to check on it ;) c

  • That sucks - time for an upgrade. I like the sound of a Walter P22.

  • @BladeReviewscom Walther P22 looks and feels pretty sweet ;) c

  • Thanks for the review. Take Care :-))

  • @SurviveN2 Thank you for watching and commenting ;) c

  • Hey Cindy: My buddy brought one of those to the range one day. I hated his too. I got hammer bite, and the trigger was horrible. But at least his never jammed......that I can recall.:)

  • @flabeachcomber No hammer bite here... but it's a real POS ;) c

  • Sorry to hear that. I have the Taurus PT92 and have never had a problem with it. I put so many rounds thru it (5000-) that the barrel cracked and I shipped the pistol off to Taurus and had it back and repaired with in a week. That pistol looks like the Berretta Bobcat.

  • @gunnwild1 Took Taurus 8 months to send me replacement grips. Glad you had a better experience ;) c

  • lol~you crack me up. That was the most entertaining review I've seen in a while. :)

  • @LbrtyNJustice4All I aim to please (no pun intended) ;) c

  • Yeah! Walther p-22 all the way! Good news is that the HR822 passes senate so if you have your CCW you can carry across all 50 states! woot woot!

  • @bber45 Gun laws suck but that's a piece of good news for a change ;0 c

  • Taurus PT 25. 'Noisy Cricket'

  • @Federalism24 It's a notch quieter than a cricket :) m

  • Piece of trash....Hahahahaha The only reason that gun looked good at all was becasue YOU were holding it.

  • @deputysheriff100 Ahhh Thank you ;) c

  • Nice video, except for the Taurus! LOL!

  • @smokeeater908 Thank you Robbie ;) c

  • The cheeziest gun ever made. :) Somewhere out there, there's a Taurus lover who loves cheese so I'm sure it'll find a loving home soon.

  • @SuperSetCA Maybe Wisconsin ;) c

  • @SoulSurvivorX2 Ya hay der!

  • @SuperSetCA Cheesy little gun. I just swallowed my snuff.! My dad had one he carried in a sock in his jacket pocket. In case he was attacked he could smack the bad guy with it.

  • LOL, I've heard stories about these little handguns... How much did you pay for it? Check out my video on the JA9, got it for under 200 bucks and shoots very well... May be an option for you. Thanks for sharing.

    TGS

  • Never buy a .25 no matter who makes it.

  • Taurus .25...ugh...that sucks hope you can get something better to carry. :)

  • Most only fire one round before jamming. We call them single shot semiautos.

  • @hunt458 I can see that ;) c

  • @PrepperAZ Yep 8 months and I had to call them once. Sons a b's ;) c

  • I hate Taurus.

  • @RockyMountainPrepper Me Too ;) c

  • @RockyMountainPrepper Me too now ;) c

  • Hey Cindy and mike just like to say Taurus is a entry level gun but I think there revolvers are ok for the money but I would just as well steer clear of them.

Sorry to see you get stuck with that thing hope you can get rid of it.

  • @1yankeecowboy We've had this one for sometime and it's now just a desk drawer gun. Not heavy enough to use as a boat anchor ;) m

  • Personally like their revolver line over Semi-Autos. Take care and have a good day.

  • Cindy, I think you and Mike will have a lot of fun with a .22 auto pistol, and that Walther is a sweet looking gun. It would look quite sexy in your hand

  • hey just curious, what program do you use to make your movies? I'm looking for a good program. I notice how you can really slow it down and you have some options I've never seen before such as the water rings. THANKS

  • @ssprenger1 I use MAC computers and they come with iMovie. I also use Screenflow which is a product designed for MAC. However, there is a cool program called Camtasia that's similar to Screenflow but designed for pc. Camtasia is also used for recording your computer screen ;) m

  • PT stands for Pistola Taurus (Taurus Pistol)

i have one of this, only have 1 jam in 2000 rounds...

but this is not a self defense pistol for sure...

  • Taurus has went WAY down hill ....... just sayin'

  • I purchased a Taurus PT 738 .380 acp. I hated it until it got broken in which was 500 plus rounds no more jams. Also have a Taurus PT 111 Pro Millennium 9 mm. A gun smith showed the proper way to fire it. I shoot with both center mass at 25 yards. It not for the gun Smith I would have gotten rid of them. I still swear by my S&W .40 acp

  • Good video sorry about the pistol. Hope you get back what you payed.

  • I could use a tackle box gun, want to trade for some 40 cal ammo??

    If not I understand, lol.

  • @Sorensonism a guy I know has the Taurus Millineum Pro in .40 S & W. It's not a PT. It's a POS!

  • Who's the homo that disliked this video already ????

  • bummer...time for a real pistola...getuone!

  • Almost every 25 cal I've owned or shot seems to jam up. :\

  • I think that the only Taurus I would consider would be a revolver.

  • Nice video, good luck on getting rid of it :-)

  • @SurviveToLife Decided to keep it. When we were leaving the woods after shooting the video Mike threw it at a squirrel...nailed him. So at least we don't have to buy any more ammo for it. ;) c

  • ¡Great!
