There was so much talent in the munsters. DeCarlo, as well as Fred Gwynne and Al Lewis. That's probably why it's still remembered even though it only ran two years.
Vicky doesn't seem to be able to interview Yvonne, she's really out of her league, this woman was a legendary beauty and great actress. I love it when Yvonne says "let me think about the others".
We were so lucky to get such a talent for the Munsters show. They really did a great job with the make up, I didn't know until recent that she played the wife of Moses in the 10 Commandments. I had to do a side by side comparison because when she was in the 10 Commandments she was a knock out.
I always liked Vicki Lawrence. Everything she did was always great. Used to see her on The Carol Burnett Show way back when, which was one of my favorite shows as a youngster.
Don't think she was happy to see Eddie Munster again.. Must have been some falling out between them. Know that her family had some problems in the end when it was reported he was her caretaker and that wasn't true.
Man, back in the day Yvonne De Carlo was the shit...SO beautiful! None of these modern day Hollywood Ho-bags could hold a candle to her....and classy too, also unlike these modern Day Hollywood Bimbos...
Thank you for posting this cool video, I always thought THE MUNSTERS was werll cast. Never seen the Vickie show or even heard of it. So, this is all new to me. I had 2 brushes with THE MUNSTERS. As a child, I went to an event with the Munster car, Al Lewis and Butch Patrick. A few years ago, mr. Patrick made an appearance at a drive in theater. he was real nice and it was certainly a pleasure to meet him. My brief interview can be seen at: butch patrick at the capri. thank you.
Even as a kid when I saw the 10 Commandments on tv in the mid 60's I was very much aware of the awesome beauty of Yvonne. I agree that Vicky was an awkward host who does not really have the skills to do it right.
Vicki has no talent as a host. She makes people nervous because she is and her questions are inane. This could of been a good, casual and funny interview with Ms. DeCarlo.
Very nice interview, what a lovely woman. She was one of my all time favorites, loved her on the Munsters! All of the great ones are gone. WE miss you Yvonne.

Just loved her role in the 1947 movie "Song of Scheherazade", superb dance sequences , just amazing!!! Truly agree with everyone one that she was Hollywoods most beautiful women in all its history. So talented and what a voice !!! Highly recommend this movie, simply superb !!!
I love hearing her voice. Something of her beauty always shined through the Lilly Munster make-up and I knew she was beautiful long before I ever saw her earlier acting roles.

All that cum eating has crapped out your perspective. You are a inbred and probably a deformed queer and if I met you in the real world the insults would stop and my fists would annihilate you.
wow, thank you so much for putting this up! I'm glad she wasn't a jerk when it came to talking about the Munsters like good old Herman Munster himself...Will you put up the second part where Butch Patrick speaks??? thanks.
sorry... in case any of you want to dig up this old movie, I've found that SCHEHERAZADE was not the complete title... it was "Song of SCHEHERAZADE" and was made @ 1947.
Though the early clip of Yvonne DeCarlo was not a bad one, I'm sorry Vicki's show did not instead choose the ending of SCHEHERAZADE. Rather than having Ms. D. in front of a bunch of cowboys, as shown, I think the role portrayed in this other film was more suited to this artist whom was once claimed to be the most beautiful woman in the world.
I'm afraid I have no clip to offer, but I remember the movie...about Rimsky-Korsakov, not just the Arabian nights... I wish to see it again...
I don't think Yvonne ever really got the appeal of the Munsters, or maybe she just thought it would be a passing fancy (probably right, if it weren't for reruns and now DVDs).
On the Munsters, I'm pretty sure that they used green makeup even though the show was filmed in black and white. Fred Gwynne complained about being typecast and having difficulty getting other roles BUT these days, actors get one hit character and if they are lucky do a sequel using that character, or do similar roles. Having a career as an entertainer is just about a thing of the past. That includes actors, singers, etc.
Something confuses me with Yvonne. From the waist down, she seems normally proportioned, but her bust looks huge. She wasn't nearly that big in earlier years. What is going on there?
That seems to happen with busty women as they age - Ann-margret is the same. The bust seems either to stretch or all the weight starts going there and to the back with apple-shapes. I'm not looking forward to it myself...
As a 10 year old boy, I fell hoplessly in love with Yvonne DeCarlo when I saw her in a Western called "Frontier Gal". I thought she was the most beautiful woman in the world, and never missed any of her movies after that. RIP, my first love!
I actually rather Lily (love morticia as well)'coz she was always helping her husband and make him see when he was wrong, a little scolding here and love in every scene, what I liked was that she was like his mother (and that was funny), while morticia just claped at every foolishness Gomez could ever think of, but both of them were outstanding actreses and good singers as well

All that cum eating has crapped out your perspective. You are a inbred and probably a deformed queer and if I met you in the real world the insults would stop and my fists would annihilate you.

wow, thank you so much for putting this up! I'm glad she wasn't a jerk when it came to talking about the Munsters like good old Herman Munster himself...Will you put up the second part where Butch Patrick speaks??? thanks.

sorry... in case any of you want to dig up this old movie, I've found that SCHEHERAZADE was not the complete title... it was "Song of SCHEHERAZADE" and was made @ 1947.
gleamingstag 3 years ago
Though the early clip of Yvonne DeCarlo was not a bad one, I'm sorry Vicki's show did not instead choose the ending of SCHEHERAZADE. Rather than having Ms. D. in front of a bunch of cowboys, as shown, I think the role portrayed in this other film was more suited to this artist whom was once claimed to be the most beautiful woman in the world.
I'm afraid I have no clip to offer, but I remember the movie...about Rimsky-Korsakov, not just the Arabian nights... I wish to see it again...

I don't think Yvonne ever really got the appeal of the Munsters, or maybe she just thought it would be a passing fancy (probably right, if it weren't for reruns and now DVDs).
heartcat80 3 years ago
On the Munsters, I'm pretty sure that they used green makeup even though the show was filmed in black and white. Fred Gwynne complained about being typecast and having difficulty getting other roles BUT these days, actors get one hit character and if they are lucky do a sequel using that character, or do similar roles. Having a career as an entertainer is just about a thing of the past. That includes actors, singers, etc.

Something confuses me with Yvonne. From the waist down, she seems normally proportioned, but her bust looks huge. She wasn't nearly that big in earlier years. What is going on there?
jdohe 3 years ago
That seems to happen with busty women as they age - Ann-margret is the same. The bust seems either to stretch or all the weight starts going there and to the back with apple-shapes. I'm not looking forward to it myself...

Hmm. maybe it is a hormonal thing.

As a 10 year old boy, I fell hoplessly in love with Yvonne DeCarlo when I saw her in a Western called "Frontier Gal". I thought she was the most beautiful woman in the world, and never missed any of her movies after that. RIP, my first love!

The problem with "Vicki" is that she doesn't give her guest to finish their sentence.

Question: who did you prefer? Lily in The Munsters or Morticia from the Adams Family.
I always liked lily because unlike morticia she had a matronly streak among her ghoulishness
TVFREAKMAN 4 years ago
That is a tough one. I've recently checked out the Munsters on DVD, and for some reason, I found her to be hot.
But Yvonne has always for most of her life had super-model look.
Morticia is good looking but I never had seen much of her outside of the Addams' Family. So I guess it's a toss-up.
bigpopparamma 4 years ago
I actually rather Lily (love morticia as well)'coz she was always helping her husband and make him see when he was wrong, a little scolding here and love in every scene, what I liked was that she was like his mother (and that was funny), while morticia just claped at every foolishness Gomez could ever think of, but both of them were outstanding actreses and good singers as well
